Just saw this - prayers sent to your brother and familY |
Sending tons of warm thoughts and hugs and kisses your way... xoxox |
Thank you all for your prayers and well wishes Kristin, Dyan, Judy, Jeanie, Kay, Misty and everyone. It seems we are getting more bad news every day. He has cancer in his bladder, prostate and bones. Only one kidney is functioning and not very well at that. And all of this shocking news just since Monday. He wants to go spend time in the country with his dogs. I would want the same thing if it were me. Please pray that his family will be able to accept his wishes and find comfort. I am doing fine. All of your prayers have helped give me and my family strength. I thank you all. Hugs, Jean and Daisy and Teddy Bear |
Brother Oh no. How do you process that terrible news? I am so sorry all this has happened, you all must be devastated. Praying your dear brother gains the peace he needs with his dogs and surrounded by nature. So very sorry. Thoughts and prayers for your brother, and you and your family. Hugs to you. |
Sherri, thank you so much for you words of comfort and encouragement. I have a new for ever friend and I am so happy for that. Hugs, Jean |

Jean - I am so very sorry for his diagnosis, he sounds like he knows what HE wants to do & I pray that his choices are respected by everyone close to him. We never know what is best for someone else- just trust what the Lord has planned and love him all you can. I used this quote already once today on another page but, Winnie the Pooh says it best: |

Jean, what devastating news. I'm so sorry your precious twin is so ill. I can only imagine the hit your heart and soul have taken and how sad you are. Is he wanting to go to the country in lieu of skipping cancer treatment or afterward? Wouldn't it be possible for his oncologist to see if he meets the criteria for getting him into one of the preeminent cancer programs where gene therapy treatment or one of the trials where vaccines are tailored for a specific cancer and infused into the body to target the tumors in the organs and bones? Remember Lance Armstrong - he'd ignored his illness for the longest time before going to the doctor and was late stage IV metastatic cancer when a cutting edge treatment saved his life and he's lived almost 20 years now? I wish there were something I could do to help besides praying and hoping there is help out there for your twin. I hope you have some support yourself - someone to share this hurt and grief with. |
Oh Yorkietalkjillie, This may not be what you meant but she does have support in this to share her grief and pain. All you folks here on yorkie talk who have been giving her prayers and comfort and the support of good true friends. And I know she must have the comfort of her Lord and God in the midst of all of this as well. |

I sure do understand what you are saying and I completely agree that would be wonderful for her to have. And I am sure she will have that too. |
Sending you hugs x |
Oh Jean so sorry to read about your twin. My prayers go out to you your brother and your families. |
Jean, keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. |
My prayers are wth you and your brother. We are here to comfort and support you, and we care very much. |
Thank you so much for your concern and your prayers. He has gotten dialysis about 3 times now and I believe he will start chemo this week. My niece is a nurse and she has given him information and paperwork to apply to be part of a study (?) that seems to be having some good results. I'm hoping he can get whatever it is that will get him well. Thanks again for being there to help. Hugs and love... |
I am very happy to hear you have a medical professional in the family to help. Continuing to pray for Jerry and your family. {{{{{hugs to you Jean}}}}} |
Prayers are being sent up! |
Jerry had his first chemo yesterday. Today he says he is feeling better than he has in a very long time. Thank you for your prayers. Each day as he has been getting treatments, he seems to be feeling better. |
It is good to hear that his treatments are doing him good and that he is feeling so much better Jean. Thanks for keeping us in the know about Jerry and Pat. Pray that things will just keep going forward for them both. |
Jean, I have been away from YT for a while and have just read your entire thread. I have a twin sister and know exactly how close you feel to Jerry. I will pray for him and your entire family! |
Jean, I am glad to hear he feels better after the first treatment!! I am keeping Jerry in my prayers. |
So glad to hear your brother is feeling better. I'd gotten used to hearing how bad patients felt after chemo so hearing your brother feels better makes me so happy for him. Hopefully the chemo he's on now will keep on helping him feel better and qualifying for the new study, if the doctors all agree he's a good candidate, will give him real hope for the future. He sounds like a fighter and he's got everything to live for! Here's (((hugs)))!!! Prayers continue. |
