Prayers fo Bethany - rbelland's daughter Bethany, daughter of rbelland (Renee) was playing outside and fell and hit her head this evening -- Renee called me a few minutes ago from the emergency room. I don't know all of the detals, but it appears that there is a nasty gash on the back of her head that will require staples. Needless to say the family is stressed out and needs our prayers. |

Thank You so much for your prayers! Bethany (9yrs old) came home from the hospital with 5 staples. She and her brother Shawn were playing "Army" outside last night. She tripped and fell back hitting her head on one of our landscaping bricks. Shawn brought her inside and was yelling for me to come and "fix Beth". We took her to emergency right away. I thought the bleeding would never stop. I had to put sooo much pressure on it. It finally stopped bleeding when they put the staples in. She was such a trooper and did so well at the hospital. She just came in and told me she was felling a bit better. I think a bit of Tylenol will help and she should be fine. Thanks again for your prayers!!! Yikes! How scary that must have been. Head injuries are the worst........they always seem to bleed so badly. I'm glad to hear that she is okay and feeling better this morning. Watch her though for any after effects. |

Glad Bethany is going to be okay. Staples in the head -- OUCH! That must have been pretty scary for both mom and daughter! Glad you were able to "Fix Bethany!" as requested by your son. Came to the thread late but will say a prayer for continued healing and smooth recovery! Time for mom to sit back and have a nice cup a tea (or something stronger if you like!) and relax! I can imagine the stress you have been through today! |

OMG! I'm so glad to hear all worked out ok. Boy....those head wounds sure do bleed, don't they? Took a bump to my head once myself and bled like crazy. Dr. told me head wounds always bleed more as the blood vessel are much closer to the surface than anywhere else in the body. Makes sense! |
just now seeing this Renee. I hope she is alright this morning. I know it gave you a big scare. praying that her head will heal up nicely. |
