Just over a year ago ...
 
... I asked for prayers for the "Sister of my Heart" as she was to undergo surgery for cancer. We thought she beat it and were stunned when she was told recently that it was back.

My friend, with her loving family and her precious little Yorkie pack, quietly slipped away last night. Our hearts are broken, we will forever miss her and our only consolation is that she is free of the horrendous pain.

Trish Rose will forever be remembered for her hard work and dedication to Yorkies. God willing, we will be able to keep her dream and her memory alive through, Yorkie Rescue Colorado, her rescue that she put her entire heart into creating.

Please keep her sweet family and her precious little Yorkie pack in your prayers.

Bettyeanne, I am so very sorry for your loss. From what you have shared, I understand what a huge hole there is in your heart. Trish was a Yorkie Hero, working tirelessly to speak for those little souls that needed a voice.

I will keep Trish's family, your family and the Colorado Rescue in my thoughts and prayers.

Oh what a sad story. Her family is in my thoughts and prayers at this difficult time. May she live on through all the rescued Yorkie's that pass through the organization she created.

Thank you all so much, I really appreciate your prayers as does her family. Trish was also a member of this forum [Fuzzywug] although. with her busy work in rescue, didn't post that much.

Bettyeanne, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I never had a sister. Only brothers. I always wanted one. You are blessed to have had one and had the years to make memories that you will now look back on. Again, I am sorry for your loss. :cry:

I am just seeing this and I know how empty the feeling must be.

As I told you on your profile page tonight, I have been thinking about you and wondered why you hadn't been posting and if you still were in pain but you had been posting and I am the one who had not as much and I missed this. I don't seem to cover all the bases anymore and it makes me so sad when I miss things like this. You have been such a dear friend.

You are in my prayers and her family also. Hugs

You cannot believe how very much I appreciate it ... I am sorely behind everywhere. I cannot seem to catch up, everything happened so fast since January. My fractured vertebrae, learning that Trish's cancer returned, etc. Then trying to absorb everything ... trying to recover from my back surgery [trivial] and trying to cram the rest of our lives in what wound up being two very short weeks! I know in my head what is real, but my heart just can't seem to accept it. I am praying that after Toto and I fly to Fall River for her Memorial Service there, that my broken heart can begin to heal.

Thank you so much, my friend, for your prayers and your patience. Please continue to pray for her family and her Yorkie babies.

I am deeply saddened not to have seen this thread earlier.
I know Trish was a very dear friend of yours Bettyanne and I am
truly sorry she lost her fight. Trish is now free of pain and has
found her way home. I know how much you must be hurting
in loosing such a dear friend. I remember reading the two of you
were so deeply involved in rescueing together. Trish sounded like
a wonderful, loving person and you were blessed to have known
her Bettyanne. It's not easy loosing someone you love.
I hope your broken heart heals soon.

Thank you so much, Kathy! We really appreciate you and the OYR. Trish was so excited when you all started out and was so happy to offer advice, etc., because we had just gone through everything that you were faced with! Thank you so much, Carole! Trish was actually the closest "grown up" friend that I ever had in my life. It's so hard ... we were absolutely "joined at the heart"! I was, indeed, blessed to have known her and I will miss her every day for the rest of my life. We will fly to Fall River next month for her final Memorial Service and burial in her family cemetary and we are all praying that will be some semblence of closure. Thank you for all your kind thoughts and prayers.

I can't imagine your devestation right now - and I understand the love you have for your "Sister of the Heart" - as I've got one myself. :love: I will have you and everyone affected in my thoughts and prayers.
