Let me know if we are going to be using LaQuinta and I would be glad to bring food. Also I will soak some Wagon Train Chicken Jerkies and cut them so we can have treats for the dog. I will get a whole bag so we can give each furbaby one. They are made of pure chicken breast. I am looking forward to meeting the faces behind the chats. Mary

I would love to come...

Can we look into somewhere that it the beach we take the dogs to, not just a dog park? Not sure if that's what you guys were already working on.

That is the nearest La Quinta. Normarae63 has stayed there a few times with her dogs (that location and many many others in her travels). It isn't 5 star but it's cheap and clean!

Yes we are planning to go to an actual beach that allows dogs in Venice. There are options for meals and grilling/shelter there as well!

There is also a wonderful dog park/water park in the area that has picnicking options.

Both the beach and paw park are about 20 minutes or so away. The location is a central one and close to St Armand's Circle A unique shopping experience in Sarasota, Florida - St. Armand's Circle Association

And there is an AWESOME doggie boutique there too that hosts Wine and Wet noses events also 5 minutes away! :)Pet Boutique - Wet Noses Sarasota

Should we start a thread labeled Florida Meetup, specific to this trip? I know there are a couple threads going around. But now that we have people going for sure, it'll be one place we can all go for information regarding the specifics
