| Lacy had a very sensitive stomach so yellow bile now and again was not uncommon, but never have had any with blood in their vomit. Glad she's seems to be feeling fine. I'm sure your vet will find out the cause through the testing. Hope she's better soon. With you commenting she is a nervous dog, I'm wondering if it could be a bleeding ulcer??? |

| Throwing up a lot of blood is really scarey!!! I am so glad the Vet gave her fluids under the skin to keep her hydrated, it will also help her tummy to heal with no food for a while. Did he also give her antibiotics? It sounds like she has a little ulcerative colitis, I had a little girl that lived to be 16, and she had ulcerative colitis, the bouts of blood she threw up and the blood in her bowless scared me to death. I had to be so careful about her treats, some can really irritate their tummies. It's good to know about the bones, mine always have chewies, and they are finished after one day. To make them last longer I boil them in boiling water with chicken or beef broth, let them dry and they get a few more days out of them. I have a lot of dogs as I am a breeder, and the Chewies really keep their teeth healthy and free from tarter! Keep us posted on how she is doing, we all care |
