Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | what kind of parasites does he have? mange? demadex? ringworm? have you been giving him bath's with medicated shampoo as well? If its demadex, its takes a long time to cure. keep up with the ivermectin oral dosages. Ask the vet if he can add some dextrose to the ivermectin to make it taste a little better.

| If the meds that the vet gave you are NOT working, I would recommend going back and getting something that DOES work. Or, get another opinion from another vet. Poor little guy...I'm sure that he doesn't feel well. |

| I would see what another vet says. Chachi had mites and had to be dipped before it went away. Meds didnt help him either. By the time the Vet started dipping him he had lost all the hair on his back. Good luck getting rid of mites isnt fun.

| The dog is dipped in a solution similar to a flea dip. The techs suit up to do this in a suit and gloves so it has too be some potient stuff. Chachi had to be diped 6 times every 10 days. When I told people on here about this alot of peole said they would not do it. A breeder said she thought the soution would burn the skin but I never noticed Chachis skin red or irritated. The only problem we had with it was the last couple of times we did it Chachi would get diahrea afterwards. After he was done with the dips they did a skin scrape and he didnt have mites anymore and eventually his hair grew back.
