| LP on Back legs-how do you know when it's time? It's been a very long time since I last posted but returning here bc I need some support. My Duke is 14yo. His back right leg has pretty bad LP that he does not use that leg anymore and his back left is getting worse too. Vet said bc of his age, he wouldn't make it thru surgery. He is not able to get to his pee pad and starting to not just track but also his #2 is all over too. His mood seems down too. We are not sure what to do. The med from vet is not helping. Afraid that we are holding on more for us than for him. He has no other medical concerns so we are just so confused on what to do. Any thoughts or advice?

| No one can tell you when it is time; but, I believe our pups tell us if we are willing to listen. I had to make a decision for one of my beloved pups yesterday. It was the hardest thing ever.....I knew for a few days the time was nearing. His little heart had slowed down to only 45 beats per minute but I had a tug of war with my heart and logic over a few days. I came to realize that no matter how it hurt me, I needed to let him go and be whole again. I am terribly sad but I know he is with the others who passed before him and running and playing with them. I asked for a sign yesterday and this most beautiful sunset appeared. I totally believe it was from them. I wish you peace. It is horrible to lose our beloved pups. tinyfeb2020.jpg tiny_sunset2.jpg
