| My Bailey Boy went to heaven yesterday I just joined the forum and have had some very nice people respond to my 7 year olds health problems. He went back to the vet yesterday, not eating labored breathing and I ask him to do an xray. He did and a huge mass was in his abdomen pushing on his heart. Bailey had no signs and symptoms until 12/26' he woke up with a bloated belly. they did labs found unusually low albumin level. Vet said I could go to Davis spend no less than ten thousand dollars and he has less then twenty percent chance of living. I had to put Bailey to sleep, I am just heartbroken. Mollie his companion has been with him for seven years, she is moping around and not herself, not sure what to do but I am worried. |

| I'm so sorry for your loss. Just hold Mollie close and give extra attention. I'm sure it will take time for her to adjust, just like it does for us when we lose someone we love. Bless her heart. Rest in peace, Bailey.

| I am so sorry for your loss of precious little Bailey. As said above, extra attention and cuddles and loving on Mollie will help he get through the loss of her companion and friend. What saddens me most when trying to deal with these losses, when there is another pet involved, is when I remember the pet left behind has no concept of death or tomorrow, so they really are confused and bewildered by the disappearance of their friend. I have had some of mine go looking all over the house, room to room, for months, just looking for the one that is no longer with us. Just interact and spend tons of quality, close, loving time with Mollie, and she will also get through this terrible time right along with you. I am so sorry for your loss....praying for strength and trust to get you past this, to a peaceful acceptance of this loss. |

| So very sorry for the loss of your sweet lil Bailey and the sorrow lil Mollie is going through . I went through this years ago. I had a pack of 3. The oldest one passed away, still had two, 6 months later the 2nd oldest one passed, now the baby (6 y/o) was alone. She pined and pined for the loss of her sister, they were always the closest, played & slept together. I gave more all my attention, so did my friends. When I would come home from work at night she would give me a brief hello, then sulk away. I figured time heals all wounds. I was giving her 6 months to get back to her sweet, cute, playful little self. 7 months later, no change, she was still depressed. I had to get get a play mate, so off to hunt one down for her. Now she was always the baby of the pack, the two older ones always took care of her, cleaned her face, let her win at tug of war, I didn't know how she would react to now being the momma and having a baby in the house. She was also very bossy with the two older ones, thinking she was the pack leader lol. I had to be very selective on the puppy I about to bring home. I found a beautiful BIG puppy lol, so home she came with me. It was love at first sight. My 6 y/o came to life, she bonded with that puppy, I use to call them Roadway, where ever the puppy was, the older one was right behind her. It was wonderful to see my older girl happy again and back to her self. She LOVED this puppy more then she cared for the two that passed away. I guess 7 months of being lonely and alone made her appreciate the new kid. She never bossed the puppy around, my older was weighed 9 lbs, the puppy as an adult weighed in at 17 lbs. The puppy was always gentle with her older sister, would let the older one win at all tag games, the puppy as an adult was always respectful of the older one. They were the sweetest two girls ever.I miss them so much. Good luck, I hope Mollie comes around, it is so sad to see them unhappy.

| I am so sorry for your loss of Bailey. I think you will find that Mollie will improve with a new addition to the family. I lost my Yorkie Dudley June 10th and getting another yorkie seemed to help my other dog, Mitchell, to get over his grief over Dudley. Also helped me I have to say. Mitchell now plays with Mickey and acts like a puppy again.

| Passing oF Bailey Thank you everyone for your responses. I would love to get Mollie another friend but because of my own health issues I can't because I would not be able to care for him or her properly. I am hoping that all my love and attention brings her around. she is eating well but kind of looking around. Time will help us heal and all my attention will be on my little girl. Thanks again, May all of you and your four legged friends be blessed with love, peace, and health. |

| I'm so sorry for your loss. I lost my 15 year old Yorkie, Bear, 3 months ago and Haley, one of my other Yorkie's, definitely grieved for him. They were together for 13 years. She's doing much better now though. Give your girl some extra attention. It will be good for both of you.
