I am with you 100% on this. I recently ordered $30 worth of Greenies from Drs. Foster & Smith. Shortly after that, I ordered a car seat and mentioned to the lady on the phone that I was placing my order with that I am concerned about the Greenies I just purchased. When I told her why, she said to simply return them for a full refund, even though Sadie ate two of them. She did not argue with me at all. I discussed Greenies with my vet, and he said I advise against it. Even if you watch these little dogs, while they are eating the Greenies, you cannot always get your fingers into their mouths to try and save them when they are choking, or the pieces of slivers stick to their throats. Scary! |
Thank you for keeping us posted. What an ordeal! We all care. |
OOH! That sounds so much like what gizmo went through about a month ago. He stopped eating, and drinking, just laid around, didn't even walk that much. He actually even threw up a few times. I had to idea what to do. I a also a stay at home mother with three little boys, so a trip to the vet was going to be a little difficult, especially with my husband traveling for work all the time. So I gave him the nutri-cal and some water through a syringe, and then I stayed up to watch him all night long. About 10 the next morning he pooped out the top half of a bottle nipple. I could not believe it!!! That whole time, he was sick because I had accidentally left a baby bottle out, and he got it, and chewed off the top of the nipple. Oh the things dogs will eat. Now I am extremely careful of everything he gets to play with, and everything that is on the floor. Because who knows, next time I could not be so lucky. If your baby does have some type of blockage, I pray that he can pass it on his own. I will say a little prayer until we get your next update. By the way I also live in NW Arkansas, and I would be glad to help you out with a good vet that I have used for many years. He has taken care of all of our family pets, as well as my pets when I was a child. He is very good with my yorkie, and I am sure you will like him.. Good luck and god bless... |
