| Oscar's HGE came back :( Last night, Oscar didn't eat much of his bland chicken and rice dinner and at 11:00, he had bloody/jelly diarrhea again I'm so sad right now. He was just at the vet last week getting treated and now he has it again. I also feel bad for my parents, who are paying for most of the vet bills and it's reaching to $1500 right now. I just want my Oscar to feel better and be back to normal.

| I am so sorry that Oscar is having problems again. I certainly know how that goes. My Allie has had two HGE attacks. I know once they have they have risk of it more times. I have learned to watch her closely for any signs, if I see them she is at the Vet immediately. Prayers going out for Oscar.

| So sorry. Has he been evaluated by an internal med specialist? You might want to do that...yes, it can be expensive, but so can repeated trips to any vet. Sounds like he may not have been totally over it yet. Will keep him in my thoughts and prayers. Please keep us posted on him.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Keeping Oscar in my prayers. Had he still been on medicine from his last bout with HGE? Hopefully, they can get it under control pretty quick. With Cali at the first sign of a tummy upset I put her on her colitis medicine and that has worked so far. One of the first signs I see in Cali is she doesn't want to eat and she will lean against something and just stare at me. I can see the white at the bottom of her eyes.

| Sorry for the lack of updates - oscar is spending his 3rd night at the vet tonight. No more bloody diarrhea and no more throwing up but still has diarrhea. They're hoping to discharge him tomorrow. Just extra nervous this time because if he gets it again in a span of a week, we have no idea how we can pay for it fingers crossed oscar never gets this again! The vet recommended new food (he's on Nutro now) and an anti-anxiety medication. The vet really things stress was a factor to this, even if there is no known reason why. How do I keep a yorkie from having anxiety?! It's the terrier in him! Hoping medication helps this. Thank you all for the concerns! I really appreciate it. I'm glad there is a community out there that supports other Yorkie lovers.

| I am so sorry you and your Oscar is going through this. You know, there have been complaints about Nutro dog food. Perhaps the new food will work out better for Oscar. Keeping you and Oscar in my thoughts and prayers.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Sorry to hear that Oscar is stilling not back 100%. I hope this will be the end of his HGE. Cali on the outside appears to be the least nervous of my 3. Bu I had to be out of my house last year due to work being done at the house. I took the 3 dogs to my DIL for the day and then a hotel at night. The next morning she pooped pure blood. Her medicine was at the house and I couldn't go in due to floors having just been stained. I called her vet and she gave me more medicine. She was fine after that. Then about 6 months ago, I had to watch my brother's GF's 8 year old son. He is very wild and Cali hid the whole time he was here. That night she pooped blood again. So stress does affect Cali's stomach issues. Also, when switching foods, I have to go very slow with Cali or she will get diarrhea. Cali was diagnosed by a specialist when she was young as having irritable bowel. She had intestinal and liver biopsies during her spay.
