i am so glad he is feeling better on the meds..and keeping him in my prayers for a quick recovery.

So glad Peek a Boo is feeling better! And thanks for posting about this, bc I had no idea they could be this invisible, which kinda scares me.

I'm glad to hear that Peek A Boo is on the mend. That's really crummy of your vet to not take him... I would call and ask to speak to them and discuss the situation.

Well it's been good and bad, today seems a bit worse. The pus was about gone but some in his eye when he woke up this morning. His apt is tomorrow. Maybe from lack of meds throughout the night, IDK.

Thanks all for the well wishes and prayers, and for the info Kristin... good to know what to look for early on. I know by the time they are visible to the naked eye it is an emergency. I usually treat irritated looking eyes with non steroidal antibiotic eye ointment, which may have prevented this occurrence, but my supply has been depleted. I'll be sure to keep some on hand.

Cathy, before making a decision about your regular vet, think about who made the decision. I once had a problem with an employee of my vet .. long story, but to make it short, I wrote a letter to my vet and her partner. Thanks, yes I do think it was a receptionist's decision. But common sense tells one, or should, that when a client's file is as thick as the Encyclopedia Britannica, maybe the vet should make that decision to see or not to see a patient... lol. I'll give this much thought before deciding, maybe I'll use both, one for the small stuff and one for the major stuff... ha, or whoever can see us first!

Sorry to hear Peek A Boo's eye seems worse. This is a rough time of year to have this problem because of the dry heat from the furnace. Cool morning air outdoors always helped Max, but not sure how freezing cold air would do.

He started looking better after two doses of the ointment. He been opening that eye more and more each day. Trying not to keep it too warm in here. He gets covered with a blankie at night. He sure knows when it's time to eat... plus he gets treats after meds. He's probably gained a ton with treats @2 hours!
