Yay!!!So happy to see Hot Rod's home and doing well. Little Miss Maggie May will probably be glad to help take care of her baby brother. ;)
Poor baby, I don't see his photo; maybe it's because I'm on my iPad but I'm sure those stitches look scary. Praying for a quick recovery.

Hot Rod is home! Yay! He was restless in his crate so I have been holding for most of the afternoon. He's still not eating or drinking but I'm sure after awhile he will. Hubby is home now so he's got Hot Rod duty. lol Hubby just took him out to potty and has gotten him to eat too. double yay!!



I don't know why my picture is sideways, but here he is in his crate and his staples. I'm so grateful to have my baby home. :):D

Yay!! I am very happy Hot Rod is home with his family. Wishing you all a peaceful evening, and hoping your little boy feels up to eating.

I'm sure Hot Rod is just as happy as you to be home. I'm glad hubby got him to eat. I hope he feels much better tomorrow. :)

I'm so glad that Kacee is all better after her surgery. Yes, it is so nerve wracking and all you can focus on is that phone call telling you all is well. Thank you all so much for all of your good thoughts and prayers. They are all being answered and Hot Rod is doing pretty well for the first night. He's eating bits here and there but of course we're giving him all of his favorite things, salmon, sweet potato, lima beans and some salmon treats. He's going to be soooo spoiled. Daddy pretty much sat with him most of the evening with his crate door open while he paid attention to him. The I got to hold him for awhile on a pillow on my lap, our usual evening ritual. The little bugger is still mad at me for leaving him at the hospital though. He won't give me any kisses yet. You can see him thinking about it but then changes his mind. Boy, can't wait until I'm out of the dog house. lol

It's almost time for his 2nd dose of pain meds then I can get some shut eye. If he's up to to it, I'll take better pictures tomorrow.

Poor Hot Rod, I didn't click on the stapled leg pic...:( I hope he's feeling a little bit better today, healing nicely & eating well. Sending get well gentle kisses!

I hope this is the last leg surgery for both of us. It is hard to leave them at hospital and the recovery isn't much fun, either. Kacee started out with five minute walks and built it up five minutes more each week. It was a long recovery, but she runs around now like she always did. I took her for stroller rides to replace the long walks we took everyday. She loved it so much. She would sit in her stroller and her head was on a swivel as we went up and down the street. The soft collar you sent to us was wonderful. I hope your little guy has a smooth recovery.

Bless that darling Hot Rod and I pray a quick recovery. He is the cutest and I know with prayer surrounding him, he will be back on squirrel watch soon.
