Growth on foot?? 2 Attachment(s) My little foster boy, Tommy, has something weird on the pads of his front feet. They look like growths...very odd that they are in the same place on each foot. My groomer found them this morning and they were not there last time he was groomed, so they are pretty quick growing, whatever they are. He is not bothered by them at all...no licking, limping or any other signs of discomfort. I called my vet office as soon as she found them and he is going there on Monday morning. I am not going to feed him and do an early morning drop off...that way IF they need to be removed, it can be done. I am just worried sick. I have heard that melanoma is deadly if found in the mouth or on paws...but I cannot find any pictures. :( There are so many things...I guess I should not be guessing but it is so hard not to. Has anyone seen anything like this? I have pics of each foot. The left foot pic is a bit blurry...but it shows. Attachment 392902 Attachment 392903 |
I have no advice, but will be praying. Hopefully it will be something simple, like a fungus. |

Oh no poor Tommy. Prayers going out for him. I haven't seen anything like this. I have seen growths between the toes, but not like that on the pad. |
Possible histiocytomas |

Saying extra prayers for Tommy and for you. Sometimes if it isn't one thing, its 3. Hang in there, Linda! |

Kind of getting used to it...pretty sad, huh? I have another one who might have mega esophagus....unbelievable. The xrays were sent to the specialist yesterday. Pretty bad when you start laughing and making jokes about it...but I honestly don't know what else to do. Can't cry...heck I would never stop at the rate it's been happening. Just trying to hang in with the hope that 2014 will be better. |

Linda I'm not sure what that is. Sorry you have to deal with this. Only advice I can give is to remain calm and stop googling. |

Hoping it's nothing, but honestly, it really looks pretty scary and very strange! I'll be thinking about Tommy. |
Gosh, you just keep getting hit with pup problems right and left. Hoping the paw thing is minor and prayers for you, Tommy, and for the pup that might have mega esophagus. |
Linda try not to worry so much! I know easy to say, and hard to do. It could be something as simple as a wart... Sending the best wishes for a benign result on Monday... |
Linda, I saw this late yesterday but waited to post bc I had no advice. I did the unthinkable also, I googled it and I agree with others, don't google! Lol I can only offer my prayers for Tommy and the other two who have been sick this past week. Sending (((Hugs))) to your precious babies. |
Thanks everyone...I have been very good. NO more googling. The things we worry about the most are usually the ones that are not so bad. At any rate, I will know tomorrow. |
Google can be your friend & also the enemy loll! So curious to see what it could be. Maybe it's just like those bumps they get on their body when they get older, but Tommy just has it on his paw. Hope it's nothing serious. |
Just seeing this and praying it's nothing bad. |
praying that it is nothing serious |
Just checking for an update. I've been thinking about Tommy all day, praying his bump isn't serious. |
Sorry to be late on this....been either busy or sleeping all day. That contest wore me out. :) Anyway............ I get the dip sh** of the year award on this one: Diagnosis: callouses!!!!! Thank God, though. :) Thanks everyone for your concern. I am SO happy to be able to post something GOOD for a change! :) |
Whoo Hoo! Good news! :) I'm sure you'll take callouses anyday, although they look pretty scary! So happy for You and Tommy to see this! ;) |
Sometimes it's better to be a dips**t than to be right:p |

Absolutely right! I'll run Yazmin to the vet over a hangnail. I'd rather be a dips**t than sorry! ;) |

I would rather be a Dip Sh**, than do nothing at all. I know you are so relieved. |
Never thought callouses would grow on their paw, glad it's nothing serious. I'd rather be a dips*** than a dumbs*** loll! |
