1 Attachment(s) Thanks Cindy and Lisa. :) Here is today's pic of Gizmo's wound....part of the scab came off and it is healing underneath as you can see. That was some nasty mess. I am so happy it is starting to clear up. Attachment 392476 |
Ooh it still looks sore. Poor baby. I hope his booboo heals up quickly. Teddy Bear just got a scab in a few days and it eventually fell off. I don't remember it looking this bad. Please give Gizmo a big hug and kiss from Teddy Bear and Daisy. |
It looks sore but I can see it's healing nicely! Gizmo will be feeling better in no time.:) |

I am able to touch around it now without him flinching and/or trying to bite me; so I know he feels much better. |

I have missed this thread poor Gizmo. I am glad to read he is feeling so much better. |
Thank goodness he didn't get the deep hole that was anticipated. It does look better, and kind of looks like some hair is growing back around the outer edges. |

Happy to see and hear that Gizmo is doing well. It's hard to believe a spider, as nasty as what they are, can cause such a wound. I have been on spider patrol in the house and outside. Finding huge boogers right outside our doors and windows. Eeeek! |

1 Attachment(s) Spiders are interesting, but I agree, don't want them in the house knowing the damage they can cause. Even the little ones can do harm. This is what I am finding right outside our doors, almost 2 inches long : Attachment 392569 |

OK...had to go do a quick read...they do bite but rarely. I would imagine if provked...but they say the bite is mild. I was always creeped out that they lived on my patio .. they came out an night and were gone during the day so it bothered me that they could be just anywhere. I usually would try to relocate them to another spot in the yard, but they always came back to the patio. I think it was because there were more bugs due to the light. |

Oh, I hate walking into a web. *shudder* |

Locating around the lights to catch more bugs makes sense. That is where ours are concentrated. I have to confess, I Raid-ed the one by our back door, above the piddle pad garbage bag, last night. Didn't want him jumping on me. |

Honestly though, they are probably more afraid of us than the other way around. Although, I am not so sure...because they totally freak me out. I did *sort of* get over my fear of those orbs and started using a broom to relocate them. But, even then, if they fell off the broom, I would freak out. One night my son was visiting and that happened....I had talked him into relocating the one that was out there....he ended up stomping on it after I performed and he was mad at me afterwards...said it was my fault he killed it. hahah |

I felt guilty killing Mr. Spider, innocently trying to find his next meal. |

Yeah, I always feel badly about it, but sometimes it must be done. I had a friend who used to pick them up and take them outside. I was at her house one day and a spider came out of her floral arrangement...I freaked and was ready to smash it and she had a fit. Marian passed many years ago....to this day when I kill a spider I apologize to her. :) I feel badly, but not enough to pick one up and give it an escort out to my yard. |
So happy that Gizmo is better. His wound definitely looks much better. :) Julia's healed. The hair still hasn't grown back and the dead skin is all gone. But...there is a knot under the skin. It doesn't bother her if we apply pressure. Its solid though, not fluid filled. I think we should take her back to the vet just to make sure she is okay. DH thinks she is fine and the knot is probably just skin tissue or something. Opinions please?? |
