I hope she is able to get the funds quickly. How very sad. I hope Martini makes a quick and complete recovery. |
Praying for Martini and hope everything goes well. Susan |
How is Martini, any update? I so hope Martini can get the pin surgery...this little kiddo has been through so much, poor thing. |
Good Morning! Martini is doing well but in pain. She needs surgery and it will be today or Monday. It is looking like they will amputate unless she can raise enough money for the pinning of the bone. I will let everyone know what her decision. Prayers are always welcome for Martini and Ashley as the decision is very difficult. Thank you all so much for the concerns! :) |
Please send on our best wishes no matter the decision, although I'm praying it can be repaired. |
Praying for Martini.... |
Prayers still going out for Martini. |

dog My heart breaks for this little sweet poodle. I pray for a healing. I do not trust pit bulls at all. They are known to attack for no reason. I would never have one in my home. Never with children. I am so sorry to hear about this accident and I do hope that little dog and person bit will recover. |
Sorry but that is absolutely not true about pit bulls. Don't blame the breed. It's irresponsible people who have given that beautiful breed a bad rep. ANY type of dog can bite and attack. |
I just talked to the vet office and Martini is doing great considering everything. They said she is such a sweetheart! My niece just moved to Nebraska a couple months ago. She is trying to make a new start in a new city. She has a couple jobs but no money saved. The person with the pit bull has not been held responsible except for having it put down. I am so thankful for all of you YT members for the prayers and concerns for Martini. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! Many hugs and blessings to all! Deb |
Thought you said the pittie owner was her mother? Did I read wrong? |
Poor Martini :( So the pit bull was her mom's dog? I hope she is able to afford to save the leg. |
Maybe something can be worked out with the vet's office like a down payment and signing a contract that x amount will be paid each month. I don't know, just a suggestion. Hope all goes well for Martini. |
I'm so sorry, sending prayers, I hope she can raise the necessary money. |
I'm praying that your niece can raise the funds needed to save Martinis leg. And very, very soon!! |

I'm very sorry for what happened to Martini. I honestly can't imagine. My thoughts are with your family. |
Praying for Martini. Poor baby. :( |
UPDATE: Martini's surgery is scheduled for Monday! There has been an amazing amount of donations sent to the clinic! Reviewing the x-rays, the vet feels the leg will have to be amputated. The damage to the muscles are too great to save the leg. But the good news is she will get the surgery she needs. I just talked to my niece and she is so thankful for everything. Her prayers were answered and she is just happy to be able to save Martini. The out pouring of love is evident! I am so thankful for all the prayers, concerns and support that YT has given! Many have gone above and beyond in the care & support of Martini! God Bless you all! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!! |
Sorry to hear the vet feels the leg can't be saved but so glad she'll get the care she needs. She'll adjust. We had a 3 legged kitty who never knew he was different than any other cat. He used to outrun the other cats in the neighborhood chasing squirrels! :) |

Please get your neice to buy health insurance for her pet. That would be a great thing to have happen after this most unfortunate incident. |
