I am so relieved to hear that Taycie doesn't have a liver shunt, and I am praying for more good news. I can't wait until she is back in your arms again.

Baby girl is HOME! What a relief! She is snuggled in her crate on some cozy blankets and resting comfortably. She is doing wonderfully! She was tube fed at the hospital again but the minute I bring her home she eats right away! She must love her momma:)

She is on tramadol for pain. The surgical reports look promising. It said that there appears to be be no extrahepatic shunts and everything appears to be normal in size color and texture! The portal vein also appears to be normal in size. The sample of the small intestine was stated that it did not appear to be abnormally thickened!

Praying the diagnosis will not be scary and I will finally have some answers for her! Thanks again everyone! Taycie sends puppy kisses to you all and I am sending giant hugs!

You give Taycie the strength, love, and comfort to help her get better. I'm so glad your little girl is back home in the arms of someone who is so devoted to her and who loves her dearly.

Yay!!! I am so happy to hear that Taycie is home and resting comfortably, and that all of the news so far from her surgery is excellent!!! I love that she is always ready to eat every time she is home with mom. :) Wishing you both a peaceful evening.

She really loves her Mommy. I'm glad she is back at home where she is safe, secure and so loved. Praying they find out whatever is wrong isn't too serious and can be treated so Taycie and Mommy can get on with the buisness of loveing each other!!

so happy to hear the surgery went well, waiting the few extra days seemed well worth it since she did so well and came out of it quickly. Prayers for good lab results.

Poor girl is in alot of pain. She continues to eat and rest but I can tell she hurts. Poor girl:(

Poor baby :( I feel so bad for Taycie... I hope she starts feeling better soon. It's hard seeing our babies in pain.

Poor little Taycie. Surgery hurts and no two ways about it. Just being there to give her the pain medicine, lots of attention and love will help her a lot. They do so love to be coddled when feeling bad. I spend practically the whole time Tibbe is sick talking & saying sweet things to him. Hope she is feeling better very soon.

She really does love her mommy! I loved the picture of her with the blanket and her head peeking out..she's adorable!!

If need be, contact your vet and see if you can go up just a tad on her pain med, or the frequency it is given....it is important her pain is managed so she will recover on schedule from her surgery....we all know when you are in oain, THAT is the center of your universe...not eating, not drinking, not breathing deeply, not moving around any more than absolutely necessary.....pain management is absolutely an intergral part of post op recovery.....she may need her pain med dosing adjusted....
