Just saw this thread. Praise God Vivi is okay. I remember when Toby got into the garbage and ate the leftovers from dinner which had a whole lot of onions in it. I prayed and prayed for him and kept vigil over him, but thanks to God he was perfectly fine. Prayers Work.

Glad Toby is doing okay, but the effects of onions are cumulative and while this episode didn't hurt him, it might in the future. The oxidants in onions cause the formation of Heinz-bodies creating red bloods cells that are rigid and unable to function properly. The red blood cells rupture and are filtered out of the bloodstream. The Dangers of Onions For Dogs

I am so glad to hear Vivi is doing well!!! That must have been scary for you all!

I had no idea corn cobs could be so bad! I give my boys corn cobs to eat sometimes. Its always with supervision and broken in quarters so its not a lot and they usually eat the kernels but don't eat the cob itself, but still... I'm going to stop doing that. Better safe than sorry!

I'm just now seeing this... SO glad Vivi is recovering at home now and sounds like she is on the mend
Very scary, could have happened to anyone. Good to know the dangers of that though.
