| Zoey at Vets - stung by bee We were walking across the park, through the clover and Zoey started screaming and throwing herself around. I knew it had to be a bee sting. I tried to find the stinger but couldn't and thank goodness the vet is 1/4 mile away. I took her in around 12 pm. They found the stinger and gave her a shot of Benedryl and something else. The vet said they wanted to keep her for a few hours and watch for reactions. He called a little while ago and said she had vomited and he wants to keep until un 4 pm. She is so little - 5.5 lbs. I feel so bad about her. I had an option of walking on the sidewalk but I didn't. Shame on me. Cherie

| Poor baby. We had a bad outside experience last week too. About to post a thread. Hoping your pup is doing ok. Dumb bugs. Not your fault for walking in the grass!

| I'm so sorry that Zoey got stung by a bee and hope she'll feel better soon. Don't blame yourself because it was just an unfortunate accident. Our Maggie got stung out in the backyard last winter when we were staying near the Palm Desert area. I took her right away to the vet too because she started to get swelling to her paw pads and I couldn't find or see the stinger. She did really well but it sure was traumatic for her. I think she must have stepped on a bee to have been stung on her paw pad like that. |

| I picked Zoey up around 4:15. She is very dopey from the Benadryl and steriod shots. She is limping but mostly just laying down. The vet put the stinger in her record - stuck it on the paper. They had a little bit of trouble finding it - it was deep down between paw pads. Thanks for the good wishes from all of you. Cherie

| Poor thing. Lilly, my dads dog, got stung two summers ago and had a TERRIBLE reaction. Swelled up like a balloon, and couldn't breathe. We rushed her to the ER. It was awful. Hope she feels better.

| Aw...poor Zoey. I so hate bees...they hurt like the dickens! My Zhoie hasn't been stung yet...don't look forward to the day at all. The thought of a reaction is scary. Hope, Zoey is feeling much better. I bet her little paw will be sore
