Kristen, I am sorry I had not seen this until today :( I am so sorry your lil' guy Max had throat trouble last week and now still battling it. I hope the new meds will take care of it so he won't have to be put under. Sending prayers for his healing and little kissies to him too ♥ huggles for his mommy too!!

Oh, for crying out loud, how did I miss this thread? That's so bizarre! I'm so glad you were right on top of it and continue to follow up. Hoping the meds work so you can avoid anything more invasive, but mostly I'm hoping Max returns to his normal happy self.

I think maybe we are seeing some magic -- Max did some serious barking tonight and did not do any hard swallowing afterward. He has 10 days worth of meds, so I'll update then to see if this holds.

No, I think he simply figured out that he could do it without hurting, so he went with it.

I don't know how I missed this thread! I'm glad to hear that the meds seem to be kicking in. I just hate it when our babies have problems. Hopefully, you have the magic pills that will do the trick! Will be looking for an update in 10 days!

His voice was a little deeper and hoarse, but his throat sounds clear. I think the antibiotic makes him drowsy and he is fighting it. He was naughty today and scooped up small maple helicopter seeds to eat until I threatened to pick him up and carry him. Boys. :rolleyes:

Doggoneit! Kacee doesn't pay any attention to those things. Maybe he thought they were bugs!:) I hope to hear that he is over that very soon.

Teddy is the bug eater :eek:. Max knows he is eating plant material and being naughty. He also ate oak pollen stringy pods. Ugh. Luckily his beard gets in the way a little.

Maybe you need a mesh strainer for his mouth.:D

When he was a pup, I worried that I was going to have to put a muzzle basket thing on him. He grew out of his exploring, but every once in awhile he starts this up to be naughty.

lol, boys will be boys. Only it's usually my Maggie who trys to scoop up the dried up worms in the driveway. Ewwww! lol
