I got my little girl to the vet, I was early and he saw me straight away. He checked her out for tickbite fever in case because it is our summer and my doggies are often in the grass. She was clear. She is in good spirits and eating and drinking and behaving normally so he said he just wanted to rule it out in case.
He says she has some kind of infection which is causing bleeding in her urine and says it is not related to her having just been spayed. He says it could be that she has got an infection via her vagina that has traveled up into her urinary tract and is causing the bleeding. He says it is by no means life threatening and that it should clear up quickly. If not then of course further testing will be done.
He has put her on a good strong antibiotic and has insisted she comes back in next week even if she has pulled all her stitches out so he can take a swab and see that the infection is clear. She has managed to take 2 of the 4 stitches so far but the vet says she is nicely healed and the wound won't open up.
Im so glad she is ok. Im praying it clears up soon. Thanks for all the wishes, I needed the support |
