Healing a broken leg. My yorkie broke his leg about a yr ago. I have been afraid to take him on daily walks. I was hoping some of you fellow yorkie lovers would have some advice for me. :D He limps quite a bit, except when HE wants to be in a hurry! lol |
If he were my pup, I would be going to an orthopedic Dr to see if there may still be a problem or if there is something else that needs to be done. |

Sometimes when there is an injury, the nerves don't know when to stop reacting. If this were my pup, I would take him for Acupuncture. |
I would be concerned espically since its been a year. Tina broke her back leg in 2 places and she has never had a problem not even any arthiritus in it. It just doesn't sound right about the limping. |
They told me he probably "formed the habit" of limping. I don't know. I need to hurry up and get my vet tech license! :) That way i can take care of my own babies!!! |

My Peyton fractured a growth plate and had to have surgery. We were told if he didn't have surgery it would heal on its own, as all bones eventually fuse, but he would have problems. When I see him run and play and prance around I am so thankful he had it. |
Btw, I would definitely take him to a different orthopedist....limping is NOT normal and is an indication of pain. |
