Running to the vet with Ziggy This is his third bought with vomiting/diarrhea since September. He started shaking last night and then he had diarrhea. He was up and down all night. At 3 a.m. he started vomiting in my bed. At 5 a.m. there was blood in his stool. I called the vet and I'm taking him in at 10:00. He's probably fine but it scares me to death because this is how Rusty started and he was gone less than 24 hours later after having a seizure. :( |
Does he have food intolerance's? What are you feeding? I hope the vet can give an answer to you.. I went through this same thing for almost 2 years before an answer was found. |
Oh Stephanie, I am praying that everything will be ok and soon! Poor baby... |
I'm so sorry little Ziggy is sick! Sending lots of prayers for you both this morning. Did he eat anything different or have any treats/chews last night? |
Glad the vet got him in early. Sending prayers for little Ziggy. *Hugs* |

Keeping Ziggy in my thoughts and prayers... hope you find out what's bothering him today at the vet's... |
Poor li'l Ziggy.:( Praying that the vet can figure out what is wrong, and hopefully prevent it from happening in the future. It's rough when our furkids don't feel good. Please keep us updated. |
keeping ziggy in our thoughts for a fast recovery!! |
Poor Ziggy :(. I hope everything goes well at the vets. I'll keep him in my prayers! Sophia can't handle milk bones. We gave her one and she had diarrhea for over a day. So hopefully it's just a bad reaction to the treat. |
So sorry to hear little Ziggy is sick. Hope the vet can help him this morning - let us know. |
Sending positive thoughts for Ziggy and praying the vet can figure this out quickly and get him feeling better again. |
Please keep us posted. I will be thinking about you and your baby all morning. I have lived this as well,my heart is with you. |
Hope all goes well with Ziggy. Good Luck!! |
Hugs to you and Ziggy. I hope he is feeling better really soon! Good luck at the vet!! |
sending prayers for Ziggy, I stoped giving my pack milk bones they never really love them, I only give them fruitables and Natures variety treats. best of luck at the vet, hugs, |
Back from the vet's office. No real answers. The treats last night may have caused a tummy upset. They put him on Biomox (amoxicillin) and Flagyl every 12 hours, so we'll see. I may have to stick with just using the green beans or kibble for training. We're still teaching Bear and of course Ziggy and Sophie want in on the treats. I may have to take him in another room. Thanks for all of your thoughts and prayers! I'll keep you updated. |

Gosh Stephanie I am just now seeing this. I know you must have been so panicked:( I am glad Ziggy is ok and hopefully it was just the new treats you gave him. I stick with green beans and kibble as treats for my two. Every time I have tried something new, I have caused Jada to have episodes of itching. I hate to think she gets bored with eating the same things all the time, but she loves her kibble and green beans and it works for her. I think it is more me thinking she needs a change from the same old, same old. I have changed my way of thinking:p |
Just now ran across this thread. I am sorry Ziggy is not feeling well. I pray he gets better soon. |

Sorry to hear that Ziggy wasn't feeling well. I may very well be those treats...Trixie gets an upset tummy with certain treats too. What kind of green beans do you give...fresh ones?? Hoping that Ziggy is back to his normal self soon....tummy aches and poops just stink! |
I am so sorry Ziggy has been sick. It is rough when these little guys don't feel well. Taycie can't have anything other then her food. Green beans and an occasional carrot are ok but I don't chance it with anything else. Otherwise Taycie will end up with upset stomach and diaherra and become an itchy mess. More hugs for Ziggy. Praying for a swift recovery! |
