| Thank you all so much for all the well wishes. It warms my heart to know that so many were pulling for us. I do have a question though. I think Muffy is constipated. She wasn't eating too well tonight, but Cassie ate like a little piggy. I think she has a sick tummy from too much rice. I gave them chicken and rice, per the doctors suggestion, yesterday. But Cassie wasn't too interested at the time. Muffy had a very small flat stool that stuck to her butt like cardboard, and i'm betting she ate some of Cassie's rice. It would'nt be so bad if they were eating fruits and veggies as usual, but they weren't eating it, so my doctor said to just feed them what they will eat right now, just as long as they are eating. She said not to worry about a balanced diet just yet. Anyway, I don't think this is an emergency room visit, but I was wondering if anyone knows what to do for a constipated tummy. Any help would be appreciated. I will call the ER and ask what they think about constipation. In the mean time, any advice would be welcome. Thanks :-) Shellie |

| Do you think they'd eat canned pumpkin? They sell organic pumpkin at Whole Foods that doesn't have any sweeteners in it. That's supposed to help an upset stomach and should help the constipation if they'd eat it. I'm so glad that otherwise Cassie and Muffin are doing much better. I keep sharing your experience with others. You and your precious little girls continue to be in my heart and prayers.

| Sweet potato works for us as well as carrots. Poor baby, hope she's feeling better soon.

| Okay, so the ER said to feed her a little canned pumpkin, (the kind that is unsweetened) mixed in with her regular food, so they agree with you. The only problem, is that they weren't eating their regular food in the first place, that's why I was feeding them chicken and rice (LOL!). And I don't think they are crazy about pumpkin. They love sweet potatoes and they also like green beans. I have some frozen green beans and I think I will cook them up in some home made chicken soup. I'll bet she'll eat that, I hope, and I'll try the pumpkin with her food, hope she takes it, but tomorrow I will definitely get a sweet potato, both girls love it. Hope one of these solutions work. Thanks a BUNCH!!!!!!!!!! |

| My girls LOVE sugar snap peas, carrots, finely chopped english cucumber, plain pasta, and watermelon, apples, banana, cottage cheese, and soaked and cooked mung and adjuki beans. This is of course treats and in moderation/occasionally. Did I say they also love cheddar cheese, celery and of course rice. Just a few suggestions to entise them....

| I'm so so happy to hear that the girls are all better now and just read through 25 pages of posts! Although you feel so horrible about not realizing what you gave the girls to eat....I think that it happened for a reason. Now many of us who had absolutely no clue about that horrible sweetener will remove it from our homes. You probably saved the life of a dog! Sending you huge hugs and smiles!

Yorkie Yakker | Awww how awful! I didn't know that about artificial sweeteners either. You sound like me with the babies. I am SOOO glad they are doing much better. I will be thinking about them and have them in my prayers. |

| Bumping for anyone new to dogs on YT who doesn't know about how widespread the use of xylitol is in so many things and how dangerous it can be for our babies.
