| Bad news from vet The little yorkie that I rescued from a horrible situation is going to have surgery for bladder stones. She has been on anitbiotics for 4 days and it was not helping at all. I took her to a different vet after I found out the other vet prescribed anitbiotics that arent usually used to treat utis. They done a x-ray and she has 2 stones that are about 1in each. He told me that he has never seen stones that big in a dog her size. He said her condition has been going on for a while. It makes me mad that the people didn't take better care of her. She is such a sweet lil girl and we all have fallen in love, especially my 5yr old son. I think my husband is going to let me keep her but now we have to come up with the money for her surgery. I really want to get her treated as soon as possible but we might have to wait a couple of weeks until we can come up with all the money. I do think Im getting a very reasonable price ($500-$582 including spay) Im going to call around and get different estimates and see if there are any vets willing to set up payment arrangements. Does anyone have any ideas of organizations that help with vet cost? Misty |

| Have you looked into a Care Credit card for vet expenses? Great that you took her in, make sure she's urinating and not painful. Any way you could borrow from friends or relatves and pay them back? Sorry I can't be of more help...

| I was also going to suggest Care Credit Card. It's really great and it helped me when two of my cats got sick one after another and it cost me almost $7000. They have great payment plans. |

| Most vets offices offer some kind of financial credit. My vet has it but I'm not sure of the name of it. If I get a big vet bill I usually just put it on my Visa card. Good luck to you and your pup!! |

| Care Credit is a good option. Here is the link: CareCredit Healthcare Finance - Payment Plans and Financing for Cosmetic Surgery, Dental, Vision, Hearing, Veterinary & Other Medical Procedures I really wouldn't wait any longer for her surgery, since those large stones could cause much more devasting and life threatening damage. Her little bladder could puncture or burst, and if she completely blocks up, she could quickly become poisoned from her own toxins. I know finances are an issue for a lot of people right now, but please check into Care Credit or something similar to get that little girl the relief she needs. Good luck to you and keep us posted.

| I found a vet! He was very reasonably priced and I do not have to borrow money. I used him for 2 of my dogs to get a procedure done before. She will be having surgery in the morning. Im just hoping all goes well. Misty |

| She should have pre-op blood work done to be safe.

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | I think that is a very reasonable price, since it cost me $650 for Baxter's pre-op blood work, vet visit, and then the surgery to have the stones removed. However, no amount is reasonable when you don't have it...I know! So glad you found a vet that you are comfortable with! |

| sending prayers for your baby. I hope all goes well tomorrow. I have to say, I'm also a fan of care credit. I usually have the money for my boys care, but what if one day I don't and he needs it? It just gives me peace of mind knowing I will be able to care for him.

| She had her surgery this morning and is doing good. When the vet went in to do the surgery he found out she was pregnant. The person I got her from told me she just had puppies 8wks ago. I just dont understand why someone would want to lie. I was planning on getting her spayed later on but did not want to take the risk of her having puppies and not knowing who the dad was, so we went ahead and got her spayed. The dr. was wonderful I got the surgery done for $275 and spay for $130 and he is letting me make payments on the spay. They told me she will feel like a different dog in a few days. Im just so glad I was able to help her. |
