I'm so very sorry. He was loved by you and had a wonderful life. I hope all your memories can bring you peace during this hard time. |
I am so sorry for your sudden loss. The same happened to my Schnauzer 2 years ago when she was only 8, and I am still tormented by not knowing why. But as others said, it is the most graceful and peaceful way to go, and so much better than enduring pain and suffering. I only hope in time you will be comforted and will enjoy the many wonderful memories you must have. |
 Totally agree with this! RIP little one. You can lean on YT if you need a shoulder! Quote:

I'm so sorry for your loss. I agree with other members.. at least he died at home, in his own bed where he felt happy and loved, and it seems without any pain. That's all we can all hope for. But I know it dosn't make the pain hurt any less. I have a 13 year old schnauzer cross and she too has developed lumps on her body, the vet said it is just old age. Although it hurts me to even think about her leaving us, I hope she has the same peaceful and painless passing as your little one had. RIP xx |
Bless your heart! I am so sorry for your loss! |

Please try to take comfort in the fact that he died, peacefully in his sleep. My own, almost 15 year old Yorkie, Sydney is in chronic renal failure, so I truly understand your pain. You have come to the best place, for comfort and support. YT is full of the most wonderful people. We all love our dogs as if they were out children, so when one of us loses a baby, we all hurt. Hugs, Sheila |
I am sorry for your loss. It may of just have been his time to go. Sending you lots of hugs for your pain my fellow jerseyian. |
I am so sorry for your loss. I know it is hard to lose our precious babies no matter how it happens, but I hope you have some comfort in knowing that he went peacefully in his sleep and didn't suffer a long painful illness. Hugs,... |
I'm so sorry to hear this. Try to focus on all the good times you had together. I'm sure he was very loved, and that you gave him a wonderful life! |
I'm so sorry for your loss. |
Our deepest sympathies I am so sorry for what you are going through right now. We recently lost our 14 year old darling and we know it is the furthest thing from easy. I have to agree that it does not sound as though you did anything wrong. It sounds as though he had a wonderful life ~ I wish our darling had gone that way. Much love and many prayers to you and your family. |
I don't think there are any words I can say to make you feel better, your heart is breaking and you miss your baby. You are in enough pain, please don't torture yourself wondering what you could have done. It was his time. You were blessed to have him to love for eleven years. :2hearts2: My sincere condolences to you and your family. |
i'M so sorry for your loss. As everybody else told you at least you can take comfort knowing he died at home with those he loved. I had a cat named Jack and he died in my home on the night of a snowstorm. I couldn't get him to a vet. I only had him for a year but he had a terrible life before he came to me. I was just grateful I was with him and able to hold him tight. I take comfort in knowing he knew I was with him and he'll never be hurt again. |
Sorry for your loss. I've heard that dogs, of any age, are subject to the same things humans get. They get heart attacks, strokes, and all kinds of things than can cause sudden death. You can have an autopsy done if you really want to know, but often they are not conclusive. I agree with all the others here. It sounds like he went peacefully, and sometimes there is just nothing you can do or could have done. It's certainly not your fault, and it sounds like he lived a great, happy life. |
