YorkieTalk Newbie! | little red bumps.. i've read some things on here and on some other sites as well. most sites say that it is flea bites but i'm almost certain he doesn't have fleas. i've seen maybe 2 on him before, a while ago, and i'm constantly checking him and i do not see any. so anyways, he started out with a few smalls bumps here and there and they didn't seem to bother him. now on the other hand they are all around his ears, armpits, his neck is covered, and some more here and there. i don't think they are itching him that bad. he doesn't act like they are bothering him. but he will itch sometimes. they are red, and mostly all of them have scab heads. also the skin around them is a little pinkish.. if any one has any idea what it might be..

| It sounds like a skin infection or an allergy. Either one would have to be looked at by a vet. For the skin infection they would give you an antibiotic and maybe a steroid. And for the allergies they might tell you to get some baby Benedryl but I would definitely take him to the vet to narrow it down. Good Luck!!

| Sure sounds like fleas to me too. Do they turn into scabs? If you have seen them on him in the past I would really say you need to treat both him and your home. Fleas are very hard to get rid of.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Sounds like possible fleas to me too - and also, this might a flea allergy too. I'd get the skin diagnosed by the vet asap though, bc you don't want the skin issue to turn into a staph infection or anything. Please keep us posted!
