| help Cerise just chewed up a red pencil She did it while I was just in the shower. The wood fragments where all over the sofa and floor. some of the red lead was loose on the floor. Should I give her peroxide and make her throw up? I'm also calling my vet. She seems fine. She's never done anything like this. She's been upset with me studying and working on the computer at home for the past few days.

| Pencils aren't toxic. B/c the pieces can be sharp, there could be a problem. Many a pup has done it though and things turned out okay. No on inducing vomiting. It could cause damage on the way up. The vet will tell you what to do.

| Thanks! The vet said the same thing. Thank goodness. So far she is doing great and upset with me for putting her in a time out (in the play pen)

| Lucy's gotten ahead of a pencil too. She didn't a chance to do quite that much damage; but still. Glad everything turned out ok. |

| Poor Cerise and Mom . I know the feeling. My guys will chew up any and all pencils they can find - they especially LOVE the pencils with chalk inside that I use to mark my fabric with. I try very hard to keep up where they can't get to them, but if one rolls off my sewing table and I don't see it, then I can consider it GONE! |

As a side note, Catherine chewed up a colored pencil once that no one knew had been dropped behind the couch. We found the little shards everywhere and I freaked. Everything passed, though and it turned out fine. Now I ALWAYS move the furniture when I clean so I make sure to get everything up.

Hi Aunty Cindy! Yep it's gone and I hope that is the last time I go through that. She has been upset with me writing and studying a lot. I'm going back to school. So she's acting out a bit my pretty little girl LOL! Other than that pencil incident and some shredded tissue paper she's doing great!
