| Neck Pain... Hi everyone, recently my little girl will let out a cry if you make a sudden move and/or scare her. So I started feeling on her and she doesn't make a noise, then I turned her head left and right and she lets out a cry, something hurts her. Do you guys know what could be wrong with her? She does play with my other two yorkies. Thanks!

| Where in the neck? Around the throat area? Or the back of the neck? Or can you tell? She was possibly injured while playing. I would take her in and have her checked or x-rayed.

This was my first thought. Hopefully it's not the problem, but this pup needs to be seen by a vet immediately.

| AAI is congenital in Yorkies, unfortunately. Bleu Boy and a few other YT Yorkies have battled this condition: Roo Bear Yorkies & Biewers- home for Biewer Yorkshire a la Pom Pon and Yorkshire Terriers - atlantoaxialinstability |

| She's about 4 years old, she doesn't really do much I don't know how it could be AAI. She plays some with the other two but not rough and the rest of the time she just lays around... I have a camera in yorkies area and she is never rough housing with them, just plays a little then goes about her bussiness.

do you take her to a groomer as they use those noose things and if she gets blood work at vet and gets stressed and twists neck wrong etc anything can trigger this so think back before this started did anything occur like grooming or vet visit Last edited by dwerten; 03-13-2010 at 07:53 PM. | |
