| i was told the slightest change can set it off not just fatty foods both times dex started vomitting i wrote down he got a pea as dh dropped a pea on the ground and i found it odd his vomitting attack started with a pea both times and a tiny sliver of yam as i pill dd sometimes with yam and gave him a tiny piece and he started vomitting. I called hospital and they said due to pancreas using enzymes to break down food once they have it any food out of norm can set it off as it has to do with the digestive enzymes from pancreas i was surprised as one pea two separate times and a tiny yam set him off all low fat Last edited by dwerten; 02-20-2010 at 05:55 PM. |

| Miss Ellie is doing much better today. Her gums did go white on us this morning...sugar dropping. But she ate some sweet potato and seems to be doing fine now. Not a fan of this disease at all. It is so hard to prevent once they have it.

| I was just checking in on Ellie. I'm so happy to see this! She couldn't be in better hands.

| Just curious as to whether you know why they are white? Since that often means poor oxygenation, that would be a major concern to me; but you seem to have knowledge about this so I thought I would ask. I am glad she seems better today!

| At first I thought it was her sugar dropping because she hadn't had fluids since yesterday morning. After eating, we did see an improvement. They stiill don't look quite right though, so I'm not sure. I talked to her vet and she is concerned. Just emailed her a pic and we are trying to figure it out. The concern at the moment is anemia (if they don't come back to normal soon).

She does not think she should come in? If it were me, I would have her in for blood work. White gums concern me.
