| Hi, my yorkie is acting strange! Help ASAP Hi, i have a female yorkie she is a year and three months. The last time when she was in heat, after it was over her stomach and nipples were a little swollen and she was vomiting bile in the mornings, not everyday though! So i took her to the vet and they said that its a fake pregnancy that usually dogs get after their cycle. Okay everything was fine after that, she got better.. it was over. So the second time around when she got her period, it was done somewhere in the mid of December. Now she is acting the same way but this time around it is wayy worse. For the past week, she kept puking bile, she won't eat and drink at all and then all of a sudden she'll eat and drink, her nipples and stomach again are swollen. But whats really bothering me, this morning when she puked bile after that she looked veryyy strange. It seemed like she could barely walk, at times she would look like shes dragging her two back feet and she would walk very slowly with her head down and she was shaking a little. She is still today not eating or drinking. Right now she is laying around and sleeping. I am really worried, I need to know whats going on, i hate it when i go to a vet and they tell me everything is okay that its just the after the cycle symptoms, i don't think everything is okay, i need help.. does anyone have ideas of what could possibly be going on? Oh and she is peeing and pooping normally everyday. |

| Yes, she is barely eating. For example, yesterday the whole day she was fine, she didnt vomit or anything. She ate and drank normally. The day before that she vomited bile and wouldnt eat or drink and then in the evening she was fine and began to eat and drink again. Today again she vomited and right now she won't eat or drink. |

| Quote: Symptoms As the body attempts to flush out the build-up of waste products through the kidneys, the animal will drink excessive quantities of water (polydipsia) and urinate large amounts frequently (polyuria). She will lick at her vaginal area while the cervix is still open and the uterus is discharging a white fluid. She may run a low-grade fever and if blood work is done, she will show an elevated white blood cell count. As the uterus increases in size and weight, the dog shows weakness in the rear legs, often to the point where she cannot rise without help. As the dog enters kidney failure, she stops eating and becomes very lethargic. | |
