Molly Last Few hourrs. I came here because I know that every one understands how I feel. Here is my sorrow. My baby Molly is in my arms taking her last breaths. Last night she got a hold of some bad ground beef. She appeared to be fine. Active and running around as always. This morning she started vomiting phlegm tinged with blood. She would drink water and then vomit it right backup. I called the vet and they told me to watch her. With-in the hour she was having explosive blood red diahrrea. I grabbed her and got to the vets in about 10 minutes. I could tell by the smell that she was dying. Because I didn't have the money to pay he wouldn't treat her. I begged him to set up a payment arrangment and he wouldn't do it. He wouldn't even put her to sleep. I wrapped her up and brought her home and have held her close all afternoon. The time is close now. Her breathing is getting more shallow. She whimpers like she is in pain and I have nothing to help her. What I would like from you all is to please say a prayer that she doesn't suffer much longer. God Bless you all and thank you for listening; Gloria |
OMG I am crying while reading this!! Im so sorry, you dont have anyone you could borrow money from so she doesnt suffer. My heart is breaking !! |
This just made my heart sink in my stomach, How can a vet be that cruel to allow little Molly to suffer!? I am so sorry, Is there another vet you can take her to? I can't imagine how you are feeling :( |
No, I just moved to this very rural area and no family or friends here. |
It's the only vet in the area. The only other vet only treats large farm animals and won.t even see her. |
This breaks my heart. Surely you can find someone to help her. Have you been giving her anything for dehydration? Give her some nutri-cal. I am praying for a miracle. Just because she had bloodly diarrhea does not mean she is going to die but if you let her dehydrate she will. If you don't have any Nutri-cal then some Karo syrup and water could help her. Please do all you can to save her. |
I have her wrapped in her favorite blanket and we have been rocking in my rocker. I whisper to her that its okay for her to go to sleep. That I love her and don't want her to suffer any longer. |

I have given her Nutri-cal and spooning chicken broth. It runs from her mouth so don't know if she is getting much of it |
She is 2 years old. Her birthday is next month. I'm doing every thing I know to do. |
I am so sorry |
When Laci had pancreatitis she acted similar, it was awefully scary, perhaps she is having a bad episode of that... My vet had me give her pepcid , now water or food for 24 hours and she did snap out of it!! This is just tragic, you dont even have an emergency vet in your area????? Its terrible to let her just suffer???:( |
My heart goes out to you and we will keep you and your little one in our prayers...did you try anything to give her? I can\'t believe they wouldn\'t help you at all or give you any suggestions...we truly live in a cruel world. Miracles happen every day please keep us posted and sending you hugs Hugs Cheryl & Lexi |
Do you have any pedialyte? That would be the best thing for her if not then please get some corn syrup and water in her. Just a few drops at a time. How are all your other dogs? Are you sure she does not have parvo or something else? |
I am sending Prayers for Molly!! Hoping that some of the advice given here will come true for Molly & that she can recover from this!! My heart goes out to you & Molly for what you are going through!! Pls keep us posted!! |
