Weird Bump/Blister on Throat/Neck Hi Everyone - I'm looking for advice on what this could possible be. Tonight, as I was rubbing my yorkie's throat/neck area, I felt a bump...upon examination, it appears to be about the size of a pen point, located right next to a wisker folicle. It is flesh colored, and very much raised, and when I tried to pop it, it kinda dimpled. I was not able to extract anything out of it, 1. being the location right on his throat I was worried to press too hard, and 2. the way it dimpled inward when I applied pressure. After applying a little bit of pressure, the blood vessels surrounding it seemed to be disturbed. The other thing that concerns me is that the base of it feels larger than it asthetically appears. This could be the base of the wisker I'm feeling, or it could be the base of the blister/bump. Does anyone have any advice, or have experienced something like this before? It does not seem to bother him when I mess with it...he just didn't like having his head held upside down. Please help! Does this warrant a trip to the vet? |
yes all 3 of my dogs have it and there is a wisker coming out of it not sure what it is so would be curious to know it as well as always thought it odd |
