| Kidneys and Yorkies I have only had my little pound Yorkie for 6 months now and she is a year old. We also have a black pug. After reading all the info on the kidney problem I was wondering if I should be feeding my yorkie something other than high quality dog food. I always get dog food that has meat as the 1st ingredient and thought that was best. I feed her Nature's Recipe Terrier specific. Should I combine it with a vegetarian dog food as well> Also, can anyone tell me how to get my pic beside my thread. I have tried several times and don't know what i am doing wrong. Thanks

| Lexie needs to get a bile acids test. They are very inexpensive, under $75, and will tell you if Lexie has liver disease. PSVA and MVD Research Summary Did you know that Yorkies are 36 times more likely to be born with a liver shunt than all other breeds combined? It is not a death sentence as most times it can manged with diet, supplements and sometimes surgery. |
