| My Nacho ain't doin to good.... I got my sweet little nacho on 2/14/09, he is now 9months. day before yesterday he started dragging his behind. but only did it for a couple hours. was fine the rest of the night and the next day. this morning i woke up to gagging and hacking thought he must have just gotten in to something(he will eat anything as long as it doesn't run to fast). normally he is okay with the crayons, sidewalk chalk, potpurri, foil...ect... that he eats. normally i do my morning thing before work and he is right there, well i called and called for him and found him hiding(normally only does that when he did something naughty), and also noticed he had gotten sick from both ends all over the bed. got home from work and he has just been lying around, sleeping most the day. i cant get him to eat or drink anything. i thought i would ask the yorkie experienced first before i pay an arm and a leg at the vet. please help!!!! any advise would be appriciated! |

| Oh, please get him to the vet asap! Even a simple tummy upset can dehydrate these toy breeds quickly and they can go downhill rapidly. Lady had diarrhea for about a day last fall. I was able to stop the diarrhea with Kaopectate, but she wouldn't eat and just slept like Nacho. I took her to the ER vet the next day and her electrolytes were so out of balance they told me she could go into cardiac arrest at any time. I can promise you the longer you wait to take Nacho to the vet, the more expensive your bill will be. |

| Take Nacho to the vet ASAP. He might be dehydrated from being so sick, and this can be deadly in toy breeds. I hope he feels better soon. pLease be very careful, and puppyproof your home, he should not be eating crayons, foil , sidewalk chalk, potpurri , or anything to this nature.

| I really hope you took Nacho to the vet. Ive heard that Aluminum foil if left in the stomach can give of poisonus like gas due to the acids of a stomach. I dont know how true that is, but it does sound logical. I really do hope Nacho is ok. Let us know something soon please.
