George is at vets today Just dropped my little boy off at vets for his operation (desexed) poor darling, I miss him already but I can't pick him up till 4.30pm, how long will it take before he is back to his normal lively self, do boys take longer to heal than a girl, should I let him in my bed tonight would hate to hurt him.:eek::cry::love: |
Nolee was back to himself in no time! I was totally surprised! Within 2 days he was just fine! Hope George will be the same! |
Bo went to get neutered this past Friday and when we picked him up that evening you wouldn't of even known he had surgery. We had to keep him from jumping on the couch. He ate great and slept with us too. Hope all goes well for your baby. |
Picked george up last night, he was sleepy and a bit whimpering last night, but he slept with us and had a good night, ate a huge breakfast this morning and seems ok, not moving around much but is is freezing here this morning so I can't blame him from staying in bed, but tucked up nice in his work bed with the heated snuggle safe so all is good. |
Glad he is home and doing well. |
Boys tend to bounce back faster than girls because a spay is much more invasive than castration. |
Welcome home little George. I hope you feel better.... |
Boys surgery is a lot LESS complicated than girls so usually they heal faster... Jackson was 100% himself by the 4th day after surgery. 3rd day he was pretty darn close though. |
Well near end of 2nd day and he is becoming brighter, we had a little walk out the back of work into his favourite grassy area and i could see the joy in his eyes, he went to the toilet (which was normal consistency) and in for another snack and sleep, I even managed to give him a gentle brush although have to be careful where the micro chip has been inserted and he's really touchy about his rear end but then again I don't blame him, vet gave me a cone-collar in case he pulls at stitches but he hates it and runs and hides if i put that on, maybe he'll realise it's for his own good but somehow I don't think he will. So I'll leave it off unless he agrivates his surgery. Thanks to all of you who have sent best wishes and encouragement, I love Yorkie Talk and have gained a lot of knowledge about my babies breed, aren't they sooooo special. |
