| Hasn't pooped in days Rosco was neutered 2 wks. ago today. He had some diaherra from the anethesia then we had family come in and stay with us for 2 days. This made Rosco nervous and continued the diaherra. Took him to vet said GI was inflamed and prescribed antibotics. Now he hasn't pooped for 3 days and just lays around. He is still eating. Took him back to vet and vet took an Xray to make sure everything ok and drew blood. His blood work was good. She said he is very full of gas and she could see bowel on xray. Gave him a shot for gas. Told me to walk him around some today to loosen gas. This was this morning and the poor fella still hasn't went. His stomach feels so full. She told me not to give him anything but the canned food she gave me for his tummy. How long can they go without pooping? Should I take him back in the morning?

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Sorry to hear your baby is not feeling good. I would call your vet in the morning and let hi now if he hasn't gone by morning. I once took Cali in for not pooping for 3 days and they couldn't find anything and as soon as we got home she pooped! Hope he feels better soon.

| Poor little guy, sorry his tummy hurts. I have to say that whenever Laya has a bad bout of diarrhea, she usually doesn't poop for at least 2 days. I guess because she is so empty. Hopefully your little guy will poop soon. If not definantely let the vet know.

Donating YT 500 Club Member | I'm sure not giving you advice when you have seen your vet but I will tell you what our vet's office told me to do when our puppy was constipated. They told me to pour a bit of vegetable oil on top of her food. I've also read many people on here advise to feed some canned pumpkin (plain with no spices) but your vet said not to feed anything else. Our problem was not as serious as yours (in terms of days) and the veg oil worked for us. |

| my demi was constipated for a few days after dental and i gave her canned organic pumpkin twice a day. The pain meds just like in humans constipates them so after 2 days on day 3 I was freaking out so took her on a walk every hour and then finally that with the pumpkin got her moving and it was the largest poop i have ever seen - had no clue how that fit in that tiny body lol |
