| do you have an emergency vet nearby? You need to go there - don't wait until tomorrow! Are you saying she is 40 days old - not even 6 weeks old? Did you buy here from someone? She is too young to be away from her mom!!!

| How long has this been going on? How old is your Yorkie? YES, take your pup to the vet as soon as you can. Suzi has had this too, and it was cleared up by a teip to the vet, with medications. I hope your pup feels better! You have had her for 40 days? or is that how old she is?

| Wow that is so young Be sure to keep your puppy hydrated. Are the gums pink? You might need to rub a little syrup on the gums to keep the blood sugar up. Definitely take your puppy to the vet as soon as they are open because such a young puppy can go downhill so fast. I'm not familiar with Greece, but parvo is a huge concern with young unvaccinated puppies here and blood in the stool is a symptom.

| wow - I'm sorry you were lied to. Do you have nutri cal or pancake syrup that you can give if her gums are pale Do you have or can you get some pure canned pumpkin? That could help with the loose stools. Or how about some plain yogurt

| is she taking in fluid on her own? Do you have a syringe you can use. Did the vet give you any advice in caring for a puppy so young. I imagine she hasn't had her shots yet

| Do you have any of those food items I mentioned that you can give her? What time will the vet's office open? I would be there when they open, I wouldn't worry about having an appointment

| OK, then do take her in first thing in the AM. Try the methods yorkiesmiles suggested. Keep your baby warm too.

| I called the vet today. He said she probably ate too much yesterday and probably caught a cold. I did not take her there. He said to give her veeeery little food 12t imes a day. Chicken soup, sugar and water, honey, warm tea...and stuff like that. Today my girl did not want to eat anything... but the vet said it's ok... Probably her stomach needed to "clean". The good thing is that she likes the sugar water and when I leave her alone ..my darling has the energy and the power to bark really loud!!!! so I feel better today.... Thank you very much for you interest... I dont believe I would get so much support from a forum. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!! |
