Lexi is sick Ok up until 3 hours ago she was running around her usual self. She just woke up from a nap and was shaky and hiding behind the sofa. Gave her nutrical. Spoon feed her water. Took her out and she had a good poop (maybe a little loose at the end). But did not want to come back in the house. When she did she sat by the door hunkered down like she was going to vomit. She is very lethargic, still shaky and just laying on our daughters lap. She has not eaten much today. She just got the hiccups. It has been 1 hour since this all started.

Her gums seem pink near her teeth but paler further up. She has not vomited. She has stopped shaking. Just laying on laps. Wanting to sleep

Can you get her to eat anything? Yogurt, baby food... cheerios... banana?? you said she hasnt' had much today- i think she needs SOMETHING in her- sounds like the nutrical has kicked in but i would try and get something in her belly- a good idea is to keep pedialyte in the house- non grape flavoured- you can water it down- great for getting electrolytes back in them. but see if you can get her to have some cheerios or boiled chicken- something bland... and see if it stays down.

We made chicken on the indoor rotisserie tonight. Seasoned on the outside but could we try some of that? We will try banana and get some pedilite. I do not think she has eaten enough today! She is a very fussy eater.

| How long after you gave the nutrical did she stop shaking? She may need to eat but hypo isn't my first thought because her stool may have been soft and she is not feeling well in general. She is up to date on shots, but when was her last one? If her gums are pale, white, blue or gray, you may need to call the vet. The inside of the chicken (white meat only, fat fat) may be okay, however, it would be better to make her her own without seasonings. Of course it is still possible that it is hypo. Small pups should eat 3-6 times a day.

i would not give her the rotisserie chicken- i'm very cautious with foods that COULD be fatty as Layla has pancreatitis- i think it needs to be boiled or baked- stick with the banana- apples, yogurt, apple sauce, you can do up some minute rice.... ah... bakc to the chicken... i suppose if the white meat is VERY dry you could give her a bit- to see how her appetite is.... but i would not give a lot of it.

also- if you can- i'd not give her bil jack treats any more- i went to look up their ingredients- can't find it on their site however their food- #1 ingredient- chicken by products- so i can't imagine the treats are any better. Those types of things can build up in their little systems and cause major issues down the road. However, it's good that she'd eat a treat- that's how i can tell JUST how sick Layla is

Try to keep her on just a limited food. Like the Chicken and rice Plain no seasoning. You dont want to give her too many things then she may get diahrea. See what she likes and stay with that until tommorow, then maybe offer her a teaspoon of Yogurt.
