| I would call the vet. This happened to my Molly last week and we thought we were going to lose her. He may have Hemorrhagic GastroEnteritis. If he does he will need antibotics and iv fluids if he is dehydrated. Good Luck. |

| there are MANY things he "may" have.. but if he has had diarrhea in the past few days... it 'usually' is the intestines upset and thus bleeding.. how much blood was there? Also this could be an issue that a vet needs to see him for.. i highly suggest getting a new one if you are not confident in your current vet. |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | That happened to Cali last week and they gave her 2 shots and 2 medicines and said she had gastroenteritis. So you may want to take Jake in.

| We just came back from the vet. Of course they didn't say anything new... Baaah. She said we need to give them a stool sample. The next stool sample wont be till tomorrow afternoon. SHe also told us to give him a gi protectant.. Since he is not exibiting any discomfort, and eating well, I just have my fingers crossed this is just a minor thing...

| The vet told me even a change in their food can do it. I would take him to the vet so they can give you some meds for it and at least check and see if it could be something else. Hopefully its something as simple as a food change. |

| Blood in stool can be one of many things. My Scooter had a bout with coccidea , parasite in the bowels that is exacerbated with stress and caused blood in the stool. He was treated with medication and got better after 1 round. Keep everything clean (dishes, toys, etc) so they don't reinfect until it's cleared up. I hope you find that the problem is minor and easy to correct.
