| Missy back at vet for 2nd heartworm treatment Missy is our beautiful Yorkie that we adopted on May 17 and then discovered that she had heartworms. Yesterday I took Missy back to the vet for her second heartworm treatment. She had the first shot on May 28 and has done very well. This time she will have 2 shots - one yesterday and the other today and will spend 2 nights there being monitored. I can pick her up tomorrow afternoon. I was really sad yesterday when I had to take her because she was feeling so much better - really frisky and playful, but hopefully she'll do as well the next month as she did with the other treatment. Ace the Puggle has been moping around the house - he really misses his sister. Thanks to everyone for their positive comments and please continue to pray that Missy makes a full recovery!! |

| Update - Missy back home! Missy is back home and seems to be doing just fine. She has to go back to the vet in 2 weeks for a blood test to make sure there are no more "baby" heartworms. In the meantime, for the next 4 weeks we will have to keep her quiet and confined. Thanks again for all the comments and prayers! |
