i'm 52. No grandkids yet. had my one and only son at 30, so I started late.
Gunnar is keeping me young!

The poll just went up, another 50's person. I have one 34 years old and 2 grandkids and I also have a 23 year old, still at home. So I had an early and late start. :D

I'm with you. I was 58 this past October. Some days I feel it, and others days I think I am still 30 something. LOL!! :D

56 this past November. And I'm with you on feeling different ages on different days - some days I feel way past 56:eek: and some days 30 odd.

I'm the same age as Disneyland! Scary!! We both become senior citizens this year. I have 2 grandchildren, one granddog, and a son at home that will probably move out in the near future. It will be sad, but I will be excited for him. I'm waiting for my new furbaby to get a little bigger so I can take him home in March on my birthday!!! The timing is great!:):aimeeyork

I noticed throughout this thread that there are a lot of October birthdays. I'd be curious to find out what month the most YTers birthdays are in.

I have too. Guess we need to start a January, Feb, March, etc thread to find out the dates, and what month does have the most. :thumbup:

ok...someone explain to me how to link a message. In other words, how do I get the light blue box with someone's message to appear in my message so I can comment on it??

Anyway...to the person who said she will be 50 this year...Plan something great! I don't like the usual birthday parties but I wanted to ride in a helicopter on my 50th birthday. Love to fly, but never done that. My husband arranged it though a friend. It was awesome!! Afterward we both got in the car and he said I thought we would just hang out at home for the day. (we had both taken the day off) I said ok...but wait...he had another gift which he handed me. I opened a Disney box to find season passes to D-land. We then drove to Disneyland and spend the day there. Yes, I wore the birthday sticker they gave me and was greeted all day by the employees wishing me a happy birthday. My husband is not an amusement park type of guy. He went several times with me through the year though. I remember my 50th birthday as the best birthday ever so far!! I hope your 50th is as special. It takes the sting out of the number!

I suppose at this point there is no point in lying about my age..LOL. "36 and holding" isn't working any more teehee:p

Really, the only time I lied about my age is when I want to get in a bar when I was young...er

I will be 48 March 9th :eek:

And whoever said 40 was the new 30 had to been 39.999 years..:p I felt a heck of a lot better at 30 then at 40:rolleyes:

LMAO....man your really old then in dog years.

I felt good at 40, the last year has not been kind to my body. I would probably feel great if it weren't for the osteoarthritis in my back and fibromyalgia..

My husband just turned 50 Dec. 29th.. We have 1 kid, and he turned 21 in Dec and still lives at home making me want to pull my hair out (or his)..

I lost me dad when he was 66, and 8 months later my mom at age 63..Broken heart!! So as I near 50 I think of how old they were and think, dang I am getting closer, it just kinda scares me. I took my parents deaths very hard. still do 5 years later. Oct. 2nd my mother-in-law passed away from liver cancer at age 68 (she never drank)..she always said she thought she would die from smoking and never thought it would be her liver that did her in:(
