Does your Yorkie know your name? I was wondering how many Yorkies actually knew their owner's real name. If I am not home and my mom says my name, TJ will run to my bedroom door and look for me. My mom says he does it EVERY time she says my name. I think he actually knows it! How about you guys? P.S. Vote more than once if you have more than one Yorkie and your answers for each of them differ. |
Sometimes...if someone says my name he looks up and kind of perks his ears up like he's looking for me. Other times he does nothing. :) |
They know me as Mama ;) Sometimes I hide and yell "where's mama" and they come and find me ;) I know I'm crazy! |
Our boys know us as Mom & Dad and they know the difference. Dad is the one who gives all the treats and Mom is the one who says no! all the time! |
Okay, sometimes when my husband calls me by my "real " name, Petie will run right by me thinking ( where is she i know she's here somewhere ) but when he calls me Ma Ma Petie will come and get me where ever I am in the house. He just cracks me up! :) |
we just took a test. She reacted better for my real name than "mama" :D |
Bentley and Bitsy know me as mama and my husband as daddy and they know my son by his own name, Thomas....Bentley goes to Thomas' bedroom door when it's shut if I say "where is Thomas'...it's so cute :) Bailey and Charlie are still learning so not sure about them....Bentley is the smartest of the bunch :) He knows too much for his own good!!! :p |
I have a name? I guess I forgot...I am Mom around here the only time anyone calls me by my name is if they call on the phone so I doubt Teddy knows my name. |
Tigger knows me as mommy, and my boyfriend as daddy. We hardly ever refer to eachother by our names. usually it's honey, or sweetie. and when we want him to go to one of us we say go see mommy or go see daddy. |
I hope bambina will know my name. She doesn't even know her name yet. |
They know my name - they know when I call home on the phone... and they know what time dinner is served ...besides a ton of other stuff I don't want to bore anyone with - Yorkies are just too freakin smart and I can't sneak ANYTHING by my girls :D |
Yes he definately know Mommy and Daddy... I can say " Daddys coming" and he'll go the window and wait, till he does. |
Yoda knows me as Mommy and the honey as Daddy... He also knows my daughter as Sissy..thats a nick name that we have for her. He is so smart...he sure knows how to "get his way" with all of the family :D |
Trixie doesn't know my name, but she sure knows my husbands!!!! My husband is gone a lot, and everytime I ask Trixie 'Where's Brian?', she heads straight for the front door :D |
lexi knows me as mommy, but not gina, i dont think she know grandma and karen, my cousin... i know that for sure, when i say to her, wheres grandma or karen, she runs to the window so she can look at the window to see if they are coming... |
She definately know's Flash's name. You can say "Flash" in a conversation and Trixie jumps strait up and stares at you and runs to the back door to wait for her to be let in. (Flash stays outside alot during the day.) |
I would say sometimes...I think that they do know me as mommy but only sometimes choose to listen!! |
Whew, I'm glad you did this poll. Now I don't feel so bad about reffering to ourselves as "the mommy" and "the daddy" anymore. Everyone else always looks at us like we've lost our minds!! When he's working late or travelling, my husband's dogs will sit at the bedroom door and watch down the hall waiting to hear him come in. If I tell them "no, the daddy' they know that he won't be home that night and will settle in and go to sleep. If I don't say that, they will sit there and stare down the hall until 'the daddy' comes home. They also know each others names. |
Twinkie has been with us for only a week so its pretty early for her to know our names. She does listen to her name though so that is a good start!!! ;) |
Stewie thinks my name is "mommy" he also knows "gramma" and "grampa" |
yes to her my name is mommy and she knows when daddy says where is mommy she runs right to me |
