Brooke is only about 3 1/2 pounds at almost 2 yrs.,but Booboo is around 13 lbs and Mindy is 9 lbs!! She looks like a wind up toy next to them!!

reeses 04-14-2008 10:44 AM

Reeses weighs right at 6lbs. He is actually like 5 pounds and some ounces but it rounds up to 6lbs so I jsut say he is about 6 lbs. Lol.

My yorkies are 14 weeks. Denim the male weighs 4lbs 8oz and DeZigner the female wighs 5lb 2 oz. Denim is skinny and slightly tall. DeZigner is short and chubby. They are still very cute. So I guess mines will be on the large size also

Ro.

The mother's weight is pounds or kgs? cause if it's kgs it makes sense but not in pounds!!

Cadens_mommy_22 04-20-2008 07:19 AM

She weighs 3 lbs. 9 oz.---stands 8 inches tall

SladesMommy 06-09-2008 08:48 PM

I weighed Slade yesterday and he was 5.5, he really needs to gain some weight.. he probably should be more like 6 lbs.

She very brave though, you should see her play with Jess!!! lol.

My baby Dallas is 10.2 pounds and 10o months old as well! He only looks likes he's 6 pounds but he's sturdy which I love! So I get the benefit of a small dog but not too fragile. I love him regardless of how big he gets!:animal36

New Puppy Weight

Hi: I ama new Yorkie owner and just love my little guy. He is 3 months old today. He has taken over our home and our hearts. I got him at 9 weeks and he weighed 5.0 when he went to the vets for a check up. He was hand fed as the Mom couldn't feed the pups. He is wild, healthy and the doctor said perfect. He eats only 3/4 c. of puppy chow a day (divided into 4 meals) He runs all the time and is very active. I can't believe he will mature to 6.5-7# like his parents. I think he is a giant Yorkie.
He is also impossible to potty train. Does his business outside every time we go out then comes in and does it again in the house???? Just a baby so I have lots of patience but will this get better? PattyO

xoxodoglover89 07-20-2009 03:52 PM

Sasha is pretty much at 8lbs.

This cant' be true. Sully's mom was 7lbs and his dad was 6lbs. Sully gets plenty of exercise and we only feed him his fair share of premium food - no table scraps, etc.

I am convinced he's only like 8lbs but, darnit, we were hoping he'd turn out to be 6.5 like his parents. What happened??

No, this could be true. Harley's mom weighted around 5 lbs and dad around 4.5 lbs. We were not expecting him to be over 5 lbs but he weighs 12.2 today. He's not really fat but just big. So it can happen.

BabyPrincess 05-11-2010 03:44 PM

My yorkie is 11 months and a Half. She is 4.8 ponds. I got her when she was 4 months old and she weighted 1 pound. When is a yorkie full growth? at what age? :animal-pa

2Morkies 05-11-2010 07:22 PM

When I got my two...the breeder said that Muffin shouldn't get over 4lbs and Boomer shouldn't get over 6lbs. Now Muffin is 5.5 and Boomer is 7.5. I'm glad they're a little bigger because I would worry about them getting hurt.

Leone 05-11-2010 07:52 PM

Yorky weighs 4.1kg

My Yorkie so I am told is a really big Yorkie  he weighs 4.1kg:animal36but we love every last inch of him.

Schooby 05-14-2010 03:42 PM

Chase just turned a year old last month, and he is about 15.5 lbs. I'm not sure if he's done growing, but we are fine with him being so big. It's actually a joke between myself and my boyfriend. When I first told him I wanted a yorkie, he asked how big they are. I told him I wanted one around 6lbs, and he said he wanted one 15lbs. I told him they didn't get that big :)

Alec 06-08-2010 12:24 PM

we are 9 months

I bought my Alec at the age of 6 months old. He was 4.2 pounds. Owner said he will not grow bigger anymore. His Dad if 3.5 pounds and Mother is 5 pounds. Now Alec is 8 months old and his weight is 7.2 pounds. So, do not believe what owner says to you, and average weight charts are nor very accurate. I wanted Alec be between 5.5 and 6 pounds. But, now I don't know for how long he will be growing bigger. When are they really stop growing?

HUH? the mother and father of your pup was just under 2 pounds? I think you made an error, there is no way an adult that tiny can give birth. I doubt if it would even be sterile to be honest. or very healthy at 1.4 pounds and whelping.

I can't believe the breeder let such small dogs breed in the first place. Everyone know they should be at least 5 lbs to have safe births. Shocking!!

I'm going to venture to guess 6.5-7 lb full grown (max end of the Yorkie standard range) - but don't quote me on that. :p

Grats on your new puppy!

samsmummy 09-14-2012 09:52 AM

Ill keep you updated on his weight :) he has put on a couple of ounces on this week so he doing well

Rescuemomma 09-17-2012 08:26 PM

Wish you could vote more then once, I voted based on Benji's weight since he was my first Yorkie, he was 2.9 lbs. Lily is 5.9 lbs, so about twice Benji's size.

Hollistuff 12-06-2012 11:25 AM

Annie weighs 4 1/2 lbs. at 4 1/2 years old. Emma weighs 5.4 lbs at 7 months old.

Deb1 12-06-2012 01:47 PM

Teeka is 5 months and weights 3lbs exactly. Her growth has slowed way down in the last 2-3 weeks. Her estimated weight by the breeder was 3lbs. The vet estimated her to be right at 4lbs. I am betting the vet is closer! I am very curious at what her full grown weight will be. Either way, she is a little fire cracker and I love her to death!

peanut956 12-06-2012 03:37 PM
