| All 5 of my dogs get heartworm medication (Interceptor) every month, year round. If you ever saw an animal die of heartworms, or even be treated for heartworms, you would NEVER question the decision to give them heartworm medication. Sure, it is treatable if they contract heartworms, but it's painful and super expensive. I don't seen any reason to put an animal through that when it is 100% preventable. I only give flea medication during the summer. |

| My vet told me this, too. It's because Revolution is topical. And there's always the likelihood that a topical will wash off. You can't ever question whether your dog is getting heartworm medication if it's oral. |

MyFairLacy posted on YT about the Revolution ineffectiveness problem as have a few others who say their vets have told them this. It can also be found in a google search.

This makes sense. there is chance something will happen to the topical treatment before the medication full goes through their system from their skin. but if its swallowed its in
