do you have relatives serving our country in Iraq? Yes No |
no, but if i did i would be soo proud of them |
no thank god!!! my husband was there for 6 months while i was pregnant with my son and i was so scared for him. but he is home and with his new job he doesnt have to go to iraq kuwait or afganistan. he's been to all three and always missed the special occasions for the first 3 years we were married. but i keep all the other soldiers and their families in my prayers cause i know what it feels like to have someone you love be in a dangerous place and not know what is going on . |
Yes, I have a little brother, Travis, or as we call him, T-Rav, serving over in Iraq. I also have another brother serving in Afganistan right now, His name is Kip. |
i answered no, but my cousin was over there three times, but he is back now. Very proud of him! :usaheart: |
No, but I have had many friends already server there for a year or more, One guy just left no too long ago, and his mission his for 2 years. And one friend who is like a brother to me, who returned back in April, and went from active duty to reserves, and now his reserve unot will be going possible as soon as Jan. But will get more info later. I pray for all!!!!!!! |
We have 3 nephews in the service at this time but of the 3 only 1 is in Iraq at this time. |
I had 4 cousins serve but are all back now and all are safe and sound. We are all so proud of them all! My very good friend lost his life there after only being there a week. It is so hard to deal with. We were high school sweetharts and stood really good friends. I miss him so much. We have stood frineds all these years and although his wife didn't care for me too much, my husband got along with him very well. I miss him every day! He was like a girlfriend that I could tell any and everything to. |
i have 2 cousins in iraq and my bf's husband is suppose to leave in oct. :( |
I of course answered no, but for all of you who have family there I really hope they will come home soon :) |
no i havent but im proud of those that are serving for the USA and UK wendy and rosie :rose: :yorkiesar |
My cousin is in the army but he is Korea at the moment. He might have to go to Iraq but they are waiting on orders. He is supposed to be coming home soon! I hope he does! |
No, but I had a very close friend who was scheduled to go & committed suicide before he left. It was very sad. |
My son is there serving on one of the border transition teams with the Marine Corp. The teams were handpicked and my son is one of the youngest selected. They (each of the ten 10 man teams) are training a battalion of Iraqis on how to control their borders and prevent insurgents from enterring their country. What he is doing is dangerous as he is not on an American base - he's on an Iraqi base. He left on May 26th and won't be back until May next year. I fully support my son and his mission. I pray that our military men and women serving in Iraq and Afghanistan do not feel like the Vietnam vets did when they return home. Its either fight on their lands or on ours - I choose theirs. |
NO...I don't but I know of several friends who have family members over there...I am so proud of all the men and women and the families of the soldiers!! I can not imagine not knowing what is going on in their lives but I trust in President Bush and that is doing best for our country!! |
I don't have any family, but my best friend's husband served over there and almost lost his leg in an accident. He was the only person out of a group of 15 that did not either die or become an amputee. He will never walk without help ever again. My future brother-in-law is also about to be deployed for a year. |
yes i have a friend thats been there a long time and 2 that just got back |
As of right now, I can say I don't but my cousin is a reserve in the Maries and may be called over |
Yes, I do. Very close relative. |
Yes I do! :( |
I dont have any relatives in Iraq. Im so proud of all the soldiers that were or are currently in Iraq. I pray that the return soon to their families. |
sister My sister is in the Air Force and is stationed in California. As part of her job, she is stationed over in Iraq and Kuwait for 3 weeks out of each month. It is kind of funny, she bought me the puppy for my birthday as a little reminder of her. :) |
My Grandson, who lived with us for three years, is a marine. He joined in January and is still training. He thinks he will be sent to Iraq probably around the end of this year. |
Not right now... My husband is in the military and was overseas earlier this year. He could go over again next year... That is actually one of the reasons he got me Trixie!!!! |
To all who have family and/or friends in the military Please be sure to THANK them for me! I appreciate ALL they do for this country. I'm obviously nobody special- just a mom who is so thankful for the men and women who serve our country. Usually when I see a military person I go up to them and thank them. I actually feel kinda foolish sometimes and that stops me but I need to get over that. I just want them to know that I support them and feel so much gratitude. Anyway, please let them know there are people that support them, respect them and have a special place in their hearts for them. :usaheart: Monique |
My fiance's brother is over there and has been for 15 months now. Hopefully he'll be home in November. |
My husband is over there right now. I can't stand him being gone. It really sucks. And my cousin is leaving in December to go back over there. I hate this, I wish they didn't ever have to go over there. This is my husband's 3rd time! |
My brother-in-law, Joey is deployed to Bagdad. He is the the US Army. We are so proud of him. He is actually on leave for 2 weeks to visit. He will celebrate his 21st birthday with us and then go back for probably another 9 months. He has had some close calls and lost some soilders from his unit. He tells us that it is not as bad as the media makes it out to be, but we are still so worried for him. My other brother-in-law, David is in the US Navy. He is actually in Louisiana right now helping the victims of hurricane Katrina. |
No, I do not have relatives there. But a close friend of mines son is there. He is a sniper. I worry about these young men and women and feel for all of your familes that have to be without your loved ones. It must be so difficult. I cant even begin to imagine. I hope they all are able to come home soon. I am proud of these young brave men and women.. God Bless them and watch over them all!! |
Yes, my brother Brain. He left in May and wont return till this May. Hopefully sooner!! Carter's mom is my mom too so -- I wont repeat all of what he is doing. But we sure do miss him. I am very thankful that I had the month prior to him going over there to be here with us in NC. I hope to have him close to us again soon!! My husband is a Marine as well and has served in Iraq too. I live in base housing there for most of our neighbors are gone. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone who is out there serving and to all there family and friends here waiting for them to return. |
