I don't have any family, but my best friend's husband served over there and almost lost his leg in an accident. He was the only person out of a group of 15 that did not either die or become an amputee. He will never walk without help ever again. My future brother-in-law is also about to be deployed for a year. |
yes i have a friend thats been there a long time and 2 that just got back |
As of right now, I can say I don't but my cousin is a reserve in the Maries and may be called over |
Yes, I do. Very close relative. |
Yes I do! :( |
I dont have any relatives in Iraq. Im so proud of all the soldiers that were or are currently in Iraq. I pray that the return soon to their families. |
sister My sister is in the Air Force and is stationed in California. As part of her job, she is stationed over in Iraq and Kuwait for 3 weeks out of each month. It is kind of funny, she bought me the puppy for my birthday as a little reminder of her. :) |
My Grandson, who lived with us for three years, is a marine. He joined in January and is still training. He thinks he will be sent to Iraq probably around the end of this year. |
Not right now... My husband is in the military and was overseas earlier this year. He could go over again next year... That is actually one of the reasons he got me Trixie!!!! |
To all who have family and/or friends in the military Please be sure to THANK them for me! I appreciate ALL they do for this country. I'm obviously nobody special- just a mom who is so thankful for the men and women who serve our country. Usually when I see a military person I go up to them and thank them. I actually feel kinda foolish sometimes and that stops me but I need to get over that. I just want them to know that I support them and feel so much gratitude. Anyway, please let them know there are people that support them, respect them and have a special place in their hearts for them. :usaheart: Monique |
My fiance's brother is over there and has been for 15 months now. Hopefully he'll be home in November. |
My husband is over there right now. I can't stand him being gone. It really sucks. And my cousin is leaving in December to go back over there. I hate this, I wish they didn't ever have to go over there. This is my husband's 3rd time! |
My brother-in-law, Joey is deployed to Bagdad. He is the the US Army. We are so proud of him. He is actually on leave for 2 weeks to visit. He will celebrate his 21st birthday with us and then go back for probably another 9 months. He has had some close calls and lost some soilders from his unit. He tells us that it is not as bad as the media makes it out to be, but we are still so worried for him. My other brother-in-law, David is in the US Navy. He is actually in Louisiana right now helping the victims of hurricane Katrina. |
No, I do not have relatives there. But a close friend of mines son is there. He is a sniper. I worry about these young men and women and feel for all of your familes that have to be without your loved ones. It must be so difficult. I cant even begin to imagine. I hope they all are able to come home soon. I am proud of these young brave men and women.. God Bless them and watch over them all!! |
Yes, my brother Brain. He left in May and wont return till this May. Hopefully sooner!! Carter's mom is my mom too so -- I wont repeat all of what he is doing. But we sure do miss him. I am very thankful that I had the month prior to him going over there to be here with us in NC. I hope to have him close to us again soon!! My husband is a Marine as well and has served in Iraq too. I live in base housing there for most of our neighbors are gone. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone who is out there serving and to all there family and friends here waiting for them to return. |
