| Just some practice pictures I've been playing around with my new camera and wanted to share with you some of my favorite shots from this weekend. A lot of good ones didn't turn out well because the ISO, or the white balance, or something was off so the coloring looks bad. Anyway, here's a few: My baby, Murphy. Notice the blurred body/background? DSC_0334sized.JPG More bokeh practice ....DSC_0086 cropped.JPG Another...DSC_0138.JPG And last bokeh shot....DSC_0004sized.JPG

| For these last two shots I used my 70-300mm in the backyard. I have always wanted to be able to take action shots of the babies as they ran around and played. Well, this is Maddox as I normally get to see him (he has just a little bit of energy )... DSC_0289sized.JPG DSC_0296sized.JPG Thanks for looking!

| Great shots! Isn't it just wonderful, it's amazing how photos turn how, it makes taking picture so much fun! Did you use manual setting for the blurred background and was it on portrait?

Darlene, I had it set to on the aperature priority mode with the 50mm lens for the blurred background shots. My instructor wants us to learn to work in the aperature priority and shutter speed modes most of the time, so I haven't even tried portrait or any of the other modes yet, except auto when I very first got it. I am totally in love with that 50mm lens.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Bonny, these are AWESOME !! I love the close up fur shot. And the action shot is so cool, I just love action shots! So glad you're loving the 50mm, it really is my fave - isn't it amazing how light it is?
