| Any Instant Pot (electric pressure cooker ) users out ther Hi all I received an Instant Pot pressure cooker for Christmas and I am obsessed!! I joined a Facebook group(s) and made a Pinerest board on my page.. it is crazy!! You can pressure cook, steam, saute, slow cook, make rice, make yogurt and more. I have made.. many soups, pulled chicken, pulled pork, beans ( made my new years day black eye peas), rice, pasta -- you can cook the beef from frozen in 20 minutes !!.. and many many more. I even make the dog food in my IP now... so much simpler and faster !! So are there any other "Pot" heads out there?

Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | I'm a lousy cook, but I'd never heard of these. Are they new? My wife used to love pressure cooking, but we have a glass stovetop and can't pressure cook. I'm intrigued! Might be just what we need!

| I ordered the XP pressure cooker and just received an email that it is in the mail. I also joined your group I believe on Facebook. Can't wait to try something in it and share recipes.

The Instant Pot is a word of mouth marketing pronominal success!! But any of the new multi use electric pressure cookers are great. I don't want to repeat myself but it has made my cooking life simpler. I can cook a nice meal from frozen in a reasonable time. Beans (legumes) are simple and fast. ok I will stop.

There is a learning curve.. knowing what and how but once you get over it you will love it. I make a lot of beans, pot roasts, pulled chicken and love that I can toss a frozen block of ground beef or turkey in and it is cooked in about 25 mins. The texture is not boiled (you put the meat on a trivet) by browned from the heat of the steam. I will post links to recipes ... I save a lot on my pinterest account

| I have three stand alone appliances that I would be lost without. My Instapot is one - I have vegetable soup cooking in it now. The other two are my bread machine and my Big Green Egg. Love them all. |

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01MF...EZL&ref=plSrch This is the link for the instant pot. I have had mine for about a year now, and it is pretty fantastic! I made pulled venison in it last night from frozen in 90 minutes!

| It's worth noting, that the 12 minutes mentioned does not include the time coming up to pressure and also the time releasing the pressure. But it is still a very quick method!

| I forgot to mention, I have made yogurt in mind several times as well! I also use the crockpot function frequently. But I think my favorite is that it has a sauté feature so I don't have to dirty a second pan when I went to Brown my meat before cooking.

Oh I love the yogurt. I think I like making soup and beans the most. Alan loves his oxtail soup and that works well. The best is cooking frozen meat. True the 12 minutes was the pressure time, I always brown a bit on saute and then set to pressure so it comes to pressure quickly. I am thinking of getting a second one... maybe
