| What's on your Easter menu? I was sitting here making my list for our Easter dinner and I started wondering - what does everyone else have for their Easter dinner? Spiral Ham Turkey Breast Mashed potatoes & gravy Rolls Green Bean Casserole Deviled Eggs Veggie Tray Jello Fruit Salad Dessert (this year it's cupcakes)

| Hey - they all sound great to me! We've never lamb - is it good? What does it taste like? I was looking up recipes on line and I noticed that there were quite a few that have lamb on their menu. Grilling is ALWAYS good! Hubby's best friend is grilling as well. Infact, I think we did it for last year's Easter dinner. We didn't have as many people so it made it a really easy dinner and more time to spend with the family.

| Years ago... One Easter Sunday on the way to my inlaw's house my husband & i passed a Shoney's restaurant that had a large changable sign board advertising their "Easter Ham Dinner" On the way back from the inlaw's house some joker had changed the sign to "HAMSTER DINNER"!!! That was 20 years ago and i always think about it at Easter and it still gives me a chuckle!

| We were going to the Santa Maria Inn to eat, but changed our minds today. Hubby wanted to grill a tri-tip and corn on the cob. I'll make a nice pasta salad and baked beans. Not traditional, but since we haven't had kids living at home for many years, we just do a lot of non traditional dinners. I miss having little kids. It was so much more fun when we did.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Nothing!!! My Niece has to leave to go back to Tenn tomorrow at noon so we went out today for lunch. With my Dad just passing no one felt like cooking or doing much tomorrow. Although now seeing all the good food mentioned above I am getting a taste for Honey baked ham!!

| We have Easter egg hunts at our house with the adults all participating. This year hubby decided we are grilling hot dogs. We will have slaw and lots of deserts to munch on also.

| Anyone willing to share their recipes? We've never celebrated Easter or Thanksgiving in a big way like it sounds you all do. I bet if I had some delicious food cooked up I can change everyone's mind and have a great time doing it! I'm having pizza tomorrow. We're celebrating my baby brother's 22nd birthday by going out go carting and I bet we'll finish off the evening with some pizza.

Ham Turkey (whole-smoked in the green "Egg") Mashed potatoes (with sour cream, cream cheese and onion powder) Gravy Rolls Green bean casserole Deviled Eggs Relish tray Raspberry pretzel salad (raspberries and jello layered over a cream cheese cool whip mixture on a pretzel crust) Dessert (A strawberry, blueberry and angel food cake parfait type thing my MIL makes) Are you sure you aren't from the Midwest??? The mashed potatoes I found for a Christmas recipe. They were just fabulous!! My whole family raved over them. Here's the recipe...I of course layered on the butter. I also whipped up the potatoes and just put them in a crock pot. Had way too many to fit into a baking dish because I doubled the recipe. Ingredients * 9 potatoes, peeled and cubed * 6 ounces cream cheese * 1 cup sour cream * 2 teaspoons onion powder * 1 teaspoon salt * 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper * 2 tablespoons butter Directions 1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Drop in potatoes, and cook until tender but still firm, about 15 minutes. 2. Transfer potatoes to a large bowl, and mash until smooth. Mix in the cream cheese, sour cream, onion powder, salt, pepper and butter. Cover, and refrigerate 8 hours, or overnight. 3. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a medium baking dish. 4. Spread potato mixture into the prepared baking dish, and bake in the preheated oven about 30 minutes.
