When she is in her ball rolling around the house the yorkie just barks at the ball and runs off. Of course we keep a very close eye on both but it is kinda funny to watch it all play out. | That is soooo funny lol. Many years ago when I had just 2 yorkies, my niece had gotten a ferret, where ever she went, her ferret went with her. So one day she calls, is it ok to come with the ferret, I tell her I don't think it's a good idea with these yorkies being breed to hunt vermin. Well she came anyway. My older baby had no interest, my 2 y/o was amazing, my niece took the ferret out and put it on my bed, then took my 2 y/o and put her on the bed, all against my better judgement. Well the ferret ran be hind my bed pillows, my pup went to where the ferret entered, the ferret came out at the other end, lol, then the game of peek a boo began with the ferret, my girls were very gentle girls, but I still didn't trust them. My 2 y/o had a blast with this ferret playing peek a boo, I was amazed, but would not recommend anyone to try this. Quote:

I am a yorkie lover and a bird lover. I have zebra finches, a yellow canary, a red belly parrot and 2 cockatiels. When those cockatiels fly down off their cage my 2 yorkies go crazy. I have to really watch them when the cockatiels hang outside their cage. Yorkies are fearless and would go after these birds and hamsters. Mine would! | I was a bird person until I got my first yorkie. I had a set of cockatiels and a dwarf Bee Bee parrot. I had one cage on a table and another across the room on the wall, all birds had their wings clipped, before the yorkie came into my life I would let the birds out, not at the same time, the cockatiels didn't like the Bee Bee parrot, they would fight, so they came out for an hour, then the Bee Bee would come out. That all stopped when I got my first yorkie. That yorkie would sit under the cage on the wall salivating over the birds, when they would flutter their wings, the dog would go ballistic. I believe if that yorkie would have gotten one of the birds it would have killed it, so no more birds for me, yorkies only. |
